DSTE 1950mAh/14.4WH NP-FW50 Replacement Battery Compatible with Sony Series, 2 Pack

These were a good price and a quality product. Arrive with 50% battery but we’re quickly charged. The description on Amazon were accurate and precise.

I bought two of these DSTE NP-FW50 batteries for my Sony cameras. To test them I put them in an a6000 fully charged and then recorded video continuously until the battery was exhausted. The new batteries lasted 104min and 100min, in comparison, two existing genuine Sony batteries lasted 105min and 100min. This was an excellent result, so I ordered four more batteries within a week from the same supplier. I tested the four new batteries in the same way, they lasted 85, 75, 68 and 67minutes. Obviously this second batch were not as good as the first, with on average, 27% less capacity. Genuine Sony batteries are at least £50 new, so even with only 73% capacity, £18 for two DSTE's is a pretty good deal. If you are lucky enough to get cells as good as my first two, it's a no-brainer. I've been using the new cells for a couple of weeks now, and I retested two of them, they returned exactly the same capacity as new. Be aware that there are many fakes for sale whose packaging and battery labels look identical to genuine Sony but have very inferior cells. If you are buying new "genuine" Sony batteries for £40 or less from no-name sellers, there's a good chance you will receive one of these fakes. All of my NEX and a7rxx cameras eat batteries, so at £9 a pop these DSTE's are an economical way to keep them fed, even if their actual capacity is a lottery.

I was reluctant at first, but the strong reviews convinced me to give it ago. I was not disappointed. I checked at the Sony shop and was quoted £69. The batteries came with 70% charge and so far it performs as good as or better than the original battery I had. Still early days so will come back update my review if things go wrong.

I purchased these for my Sony camera as spares, Pro's good value for money, good build quality and a good replacement for original battery. Con's none.

These alternative batteries for my Sony NEX 5N have a higher amps output than the genuin version and that is a bonis I quite like.

Bought 2 of these batteries supposedly compatible with Sony NP-FW50 in October 2023. 3 months later both are failing to charge to full capacity. Charging light does not extinguish using either of 2 genuine Sony chargers for this battery. Charger does work properly with other genuine batteries. They may seem cheap but they do not work so are useless. Unfortunately Amazon's window for return has already expired!

I have bought several of these batteries. They are double the life of the Sony batteries that come with the a6500. They work great and last much longer. While no battery for these a6000 series of cameras will never last long, these work really well. Let's be real, Sony needs to come up with better batteries for these altogether. But these have worked as a really good replacement. If I have to have a lot of batteries, I will choose these.

Those two batteries work exceptionally well with my SONY A7RII. I purchased them as extras when I first got my SONY A7RII after reading so much bad press about the short battery life with the camera. After many months of usage, I can say that: 1. these batteries perform as good, if not better, than the originals I got with my Sony A7RII. 2. I can pull roughly 400-500 photos with a full charge, sometimes more depending on the type of shoot and shooting style Video does tend to be a lot more power hungry though. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to other A7RII users.

Las baterías tienen mayor amperaje de las originales de Sony (1920 mAh vs 1050 mAh) sin embargo en cuanto a duración se parecen bastante, con la diferencia que éstas cuestan una fracción de las originales. Después de 6 meses siguen aguantando la carga sin problemas. Compra muy recomendada. No he recibido gratuitamente el producto sino que lo he pagado con mi proprio dinero. Si estás harto de leer reviews exageradas sobre productos mediocres, apoya reviews auténticas como ésta.
