Massive Sound, Small(er) Package
The Sonos Sub Mini produces massive house shaking bass for a deceivingly small package. I use several Sonos speakers throughout my home, including Play:1, beams, Five, and a standard Sub. This Sub Mini is the perfect bass companion to turn any Sonos speaker system into an explosive, rich sound environment. It looks great, and is compact enough to make it portable or tuck away under a small end table. Its solid exterior makes it durable and weighty, with a quality feel you would expect from Sonos. It is also simple to connect and add to your existing system, as well as configure for the right amount of bass you want.Where the Sub Mini really shines is its powerful output and clear, deep notes, at a price point much lower than the relatively expensive regular Sonos Sub. Having owned a larger Sonos Sub for years, its audio output is astounding, but the Sub Mini rivals the bass output of its big brother very closely. At a price roughly 60% of the Sub, the Sub Mini outputs very similar levels of bass (detectable to my ear from different rooms). If you have Sonos speakers and have been considering bumping your audio experience with a subwoofer, I would definitely recommend the Sub Mini. At the price point, you will save much less than a full Sub but get just about all of the room shaking bass.

Mini with not so mini bass
"I recently added the Sonos Mini Sub to my existing Sonos setup, and wow, what a difference! I was honestly a little skeptical about the 'mini' part, but this thing packs a serious punch. The bass it produces is absolutely awesome – deep, rich, and surprisingly powerful for its size.It seamlessly integrated with my Sonos Arc and One SLs, filling my room with a full, immersive sound. I've been rediscovering my favorite music and movies, hearing details I never noticed before. The low frequencies are tight and controlled, adding a real weight and presence to everything I listen to.If you're looking to add some serious bass to your Sonos system without taking up a ton of space, the Sonos Mini Sub is a fantastic choice. It's compact, stylish, and delivers incredible low-end performance. I'm thoroughly impressed and highly recommend it!"

Perfect for apartments/condos
I recently upgraded to the Eras 300s and the Arc Ultra sound bar from the Beam gen 1 and SL ones, but was worried that adding a subwoofer would cause too much of a disturbance with my neighbors (I live in a condo). As such, I held off on the idea of buying it for a long time. It turns out though that it is completely doable in an apartment. You can adjust the bass from -15 to +15 and I usually keep it at +2 with no problems at all.The subwoofer adds substantial detail to the Sonos setup and takes some of the brunt of the bass off the soundbar. I wish I hadn't waited on buying it.If you live in an apt/condo or share walls, don't hesitate on buying this because it won't be an issue and this adds a ton of value to the experience.

It’s Sonos you love it or you hate it
It’s a Sonos what can I say either like Sonos or you don’t and if you do you already know this is a great purchase. Good base connects easily and it looks good.

The little sub that could
For a tiny sub, this little guy hits well. It gives out good bass and paired with no issues to the system.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW
Some of this might be obvious, but not to me at least.I read a number of reviews from people who were upset because they could not get their Sub to be recognized by the app and/or get it to install.Let me say, I have a number of Sonos products and never had this issue, UNTIL NOW.. I was using a Samsung tablet (like I normally do to control the system) and it had me keep jumping though hoops, turning bluetooth on and taking me to web pages saying I needed to do this or that and basically not installing. Constant loop of "try again" and not working.Thankfully, I did not give up, but instead I thought I'd try using my Samsung PHONE to install it. I connected to my Wifi with the phone and brought up the Sonos app. Clicked to add a product and after a minute it came up with the sub. After that the install was a breeze! The only real requirement was that I needed to lay my phone on top of the Sub over the logo when directed. Couple of seconds and it gave me a check mark and proceeded to install. It registered my product, let me know I needed to update the sub (which I did) and once done it was all set. No issues! So, for those having problems getting their sub installed, if you are using a tablet or something, perhaps switch, as I did, to using your phone on Wifi. Could not have been easier for me to get it installed when I did just that. Now here is the note that perhaps everyone knows. I saw things mentioned about people adding the sub for TV/theatre installation. Not what I needed it for. I just wanted it to add a bit more bass to the music I was playing on multiple speakers throughout and open plan house. I thought I could perhaps just install it, not connect it to any TV type system and have it provide my sub duties. NOT SO.The first question it gives is a swipe screen to connect it to your existing speakers or TV setup. Did not appear that I could get around this step. The sub had to be connected with something you already have. I chose a single living room speaker in the end. Then I had to modify the name of that speaker to indicate the sub was attached to it.I have since created a stereo pair in the living room with the sub attached. Did that to give more balanced coverage as with a single speaker the volume for that speaker was what controlled the sub. Anyway, better sound now with some shuffling of speakers in the home to get the stereo pair and sub system.I dinged the score a little bit for the bit of a do to get it installed, but mostly this connection thing with the sub and the fact that I feel the controls are a bit limited. The only controls I have for the sub are:volume that controls the stereo pair and the sub togetherWhen you go to the sub under the stereo pair heading you can turn the sub on and off with a toggle. You can also adjust the sub level with a minus and plus slider.Lastly, you have a phase control of 0 or 180. I tried both and have the correct sound using the 0 position. That is it for controls that I have found on my system. Don't see anything in the app to adjust the frequency it rolls off at. I'd also appreciate the ability to not have to dig into the stereo pair menu to turn the sub on or off if I want. Would also be nice to have it separate in the list so the volume control was a simple adjustment from the main list of speakers instead of being controlled by the volume of whatever it is connected to. Maybe picky on this part.Overall, happy with the sound quality. Bass in a larger open floor plan room is good. I can tell it has been added from the greater impact and richness of the music. I don't have the gain on it turned way up (is at 3), but I don't expect it to vibrate the whole house. I don't think you should either. I can see it being a nice addition to a TV/theatre build in a smaller room. For me, as I said, happy I added it. The bass is enough for the variety of music I play and the large size of the room it is in. That and I saved some cash from buying the "big" square looking subwoofer. Would have been overkill for me. Especially for the price difference!A nice addition and recommended!

Sonos is the best wireless sound system for home theater or apple play.
I saved money buying a returned sub mini, it arrived in new condition with the original box. That said it is a must have addition to my beam 1 and 2 play 1 surround Sonos units. I needed to replace the Sonos s1 app with the new Sonos app to make everything work together. After some help from Sonos help service I was able to complete the setup. Help service is excellent, friendly and knowledgeable, I needed their help and they delivered.

Great Sub for Sonos System
Great audio. Good bass with the small size. Love the Sonos connectivity. Wish I could link up 2 of them in the same system.
