VALEO - Wiper Motor - Rear - 579603 - A3, A3 SPORTBACK, A4, A6, Q5, Q7

I have the well known rear wiper issue on my A3. I mean what a stupid design with the water jet going through the motor spindle but, hey-ho. Replaced it about 18months ago with eBay Chinese brand, lasted 2 months. Replacement they sent gave up after 11months. I’ve decided to get original Valero part and fits great and works well (previous cheap versions ran randomly when switched on, must be different board signals triggering multiple wipes rather than just one). So happy to have normal function back too.

Overall, this is a great product. I got this as a replacement for my current rear wiper motor since it stopped working.I would recommend trying to install this yourself in order to save quite a lot of money instead of going to the garage. However, it can be a bit fiddly when doing it yourself as the wiper might end up in the wrong place, so some experience would be handy.2 years in, the product is still going strong - a good buy.

Been installed for over 3 weeks and used regularly. Don't buy cheap knock offs, but the genuine Valeo every time! Ask me how I know this to be a good thing ;)

Easy to fit. Direct replacement. OE part so it’s exactly what you’d get from the dealership without the audi badge.

Fitted to an Audi Q5 - this turned out to be a good quality product. You may think I sound surprised but it was better quality than the motor it replaced so definitely good value for the price! And easy to fit. Time will tell but I'm confident it will last longer than the last one (12 months). Upon fitting I found the original wiper arm was branded Audi and Valeo so this motor might be an OEM equivalent part.

The unit was fine except that despite being the correct one for my car, the manufacturer has made a small modification so that there is a now a lip or ridge on the plastic receptacle which the water hose fits on to.This means that it will only go about half way on and is not a secure fit.I secured it using electricians insulating tape both around the connection and further back on the hose to keep the hose from moving around. So far (one year) it has been OK, but obviously not very satisfactory solution.

I replaced the original motor with a cheap £25 one from ebay. It worked but was noisy and operated slightly differently as it wiped 3 times when first activated. Replaced it with this one after it failed after a year or so. This although not much different looking to the cheap one functions as per the audi original in operation and noise. Most important thing with these if the washer jets are blocked do not keep operating the washer jets as it forces the water past a seal and into the motor which will eventually cause it to fail.

Fixed my rear wiper 08 a3 was leaking washer fluid inside and not working put this in and everything is good as new easy swap out
