Wellies Black Combat Boots Mid Height Combat Boots Desert Combat Boots Review: Good quality and nice value - I've been wearing these for about a month and they seem good. They feel solid and are comfortable, keep the water out and look good. I generally wear them on 12 hour shifts and I enjoy wearing them, the quality is good, especially for the price I paid. I like the added side zip, it makes them easy to get in and out of. Review: Highly recommended - These are awesome. I didn't know what to expect as frankly I've been wearing addidas and lowas for years. When my lowas were unexpectedly distroyed by a trip in the washing machine (don't ask) I bought these as financially I couldn't justify more lowas when frankly I batter shoes at work and they get covered in all kinds of disgusting Ming and ick. I am pretty much a sample size 7 1/2. I bought the 8s becuase these don't come in half sizes. I think next time I would get a 7 just becuase these are too big and are getting bigger where they are leather and they stretch. They are a little bit sweaty but frankly so is every boot I've ever tried. I think I'm just a sweaty person. I don't think I would recommend these for any kind of really intense, running, jumping, climbing, obstacle coursing but for daily wear so walking, driving, occasionally running and a whole lot of sitting. These are perfect. Easy to clean, water resistant (enough), fast drying and light. I would estimate they would last me maybe 6-8 months (but I am TOUGH on shoes) and my expensive £100 + ones we're lasting me maybe 12-14 months. So financially these make much more sense. (Not for the environment...) Edit to add picture and 6month update. I have had these for around 6 months. They are battered. Soles have worn through and are peeling away from the uppers so not waterproof anymore (they are also not sweaty anymore). Also the velcro has come off the zip cover and laces are a bit broken. Attached photo shows present condition. I am a slob and don't look after my shoes properly and when I do polish them it is will the black sqeezy stuff. They are COMFY but fit more like a Welly than say a trainer. They don't hug my foot and I can feel my feet and ankles wobbling about it them. Also if I do anything too strenuous my socks fall down and I have to pull them up again. BUT the zip up side is wonderful. I think I've always been a bit snobby about zip up boots (maybe becuase I do like a more snug fit) but the zip is sooooo convenient. I can just whip them off to; pull my socks off or when I get in or if someone asks me to inside their house. So I've been gifted lowas for my birthday and if money was no object, yeah I'd always get a big brand but if I had to pay out of pocket. I'd definitely buy these again

Good quality Non-steel toecap boots
I was expecting these to come with a steel toecap, as the picture of the boot clearly shows the boot to have an internal toecap. Never the less these are a nice fitting and comfortable pair of boots. I've been wearing them nearly everyday since I bought them in February 2019, so 4 months in and they're still going strong as they should, nothings fallen off, collapsed of broken - yet (nothing lasts forever). I have inserted a gel insole into both of these as the steel shank does nothing to help the fatigue in my feet. The only real problem, as others have mentioned, is the nylon stitching on the inside, at the top of the zip, it is very rough and continues to chaff on my legs, if I don't roll the tops of my socks over the rim of the boots - this also stops my socks diappearing down inside the boot and working themselves off of my feet as I wear them. For this reason and because the boots in the pic appear to have a steel toecap and these don't, I have dropped the boots 1 star. But I find they are still good value for my money. If you want to increase the waterproof qualities of this boot, spray them with Fabsil (the same stuff used for canvas/nylon tents), spray them all over, including tongue, zip, nylon panels and lacing area and let the liquid soak in and dry naturally. Boots can still be polished afterwards, if needed.

They're worth it
Great boots, very comfortable and easy to wear. These boots are really durable and lightweight They're worth the price. I would definitely buy them again

Good boots
These boots are excellent quality. The leather feels strong and durable, and they broke in much faster than I expected. They’re supportive, comfortable for long wear, and give great grip on different surfaces. The stitching is neat, the fit is secure, and they feel like they’ll last a long time even with regular use. Really impressed with how sturdy and reliable they are.

Very comfy but unfortunately leak and wear after 3 months daily wear.
I’ve been wearing them daily outside for 3.5 months, and now the front seam has split letting in water, and the ‘fake leather’ covering has worn off letting in water into the material. I went into long grass fields today, and have a soaking wet left foot due to the toe leaking (see pictures). Shame they’re not better made. They are very comfortable though hence 3 stars - worn from the get-go with comfort - such a disappointment the build quality lasts just a few months. If you want them for dry indoor work, you will likely find they last a bit longer than my experience.

Size 13
I was a bit concerned about buying these for my son for 2 reasons. A size 13 can be very different from trainers compared to boots, and whether they'd fit his calf. He wanted some goth/combat style but they can be so expensive. He loves them! Because the laces can be loosened they fit perfectly just using the zip. They are so comfortable and look great

Not Impressed
I bought these boots for my work DEc 2024, not that I do a lot of walking, but they were a better looking boot than the ones provided and the side Zip was also a plus. 9 months later.... what a disappointment... walking out in the rain and discovered a chunk of sole missing and a split right across the sole... I have know idea why... then on inspection of the other sole... that was starting to split too!.. Whilst they are an inexpensive boot I expected more... NOT Impressed!!

Lasted 6 months
Comfortable, good looking, unfortunately after 6 months sole broke down completely. Therefore, when it rains you probably not going to wear it. Think twice before you spend 50 euros.
