Turning your ceiling into the night sky
I got this for a little one who is fascinated by the sky to help him falling asleep. This projector has 3 modes: constellations, night sky, and slides projector. I find both the night sky and the constellations modes very relaxing and the little one enjoys hearing me telling stories about the constellations. We are not using the slides at the moment because the little one is still too young to enjoy them, but they are great for sky enthusiasts.I’m very pleased with how silent the rotating mechanism is. This makes it perfect for me to use it to help the little one to relax before sleeping. The only downside I can see is that I wish it had more domes with all constellations, rather than just one. That’s because the one provided is a subset of sky seen from the northern hemisphere and I was hoping to teach my little one to recognise all constellations.Overall, this is a great gift for a sky enthusiast!

Amazing Planetarium
Bought this for me grandsons 5th birthday. He is absolutely delighted with it and so is his dad. It shows the constellations and how they move. It also has an interchangeable attachment showing the planets. There is also a night light attachment. Very well made and great value for money.

"Planetarium" is overselling it, but the slides are good
I bought this hoping for an accurate projection of the stars for our 2-year-old's bedroom so we could look at the constellations together. This product can't manage that. The images produced by the "planetarium" are unfocussed and blurry. They are also blue for some reason, and the projections revolve thanks to a motor which makes a subtle grinding noise and cannot be turned off. That said, this does an excellent job as a projector for the supplied space slides We project them on the ceiling, lie back, and name the planets. The project is easy to angle and point and feels pretty solid. It's expensive for that, though.Projector: 5/5Planetarium: 2/5

great for all ages
easily one of the best things I have bought for my kids (2 and 1). the images are clear on my 12ft ceilings and the images are varied. my eldest usually says "woooow" or shouts "moon" or "Saturn" which is awesome and shows them engaging with the "toy". there is a twist focus for the slide show but not for the stars as it isn't needed. there is a switch to change from slide show at one end to stars on the other end or off. the "stars" end is our favourite as the projector head slowly rotates and the stars rotate around the room. the item is very durable as my kids were treating it like a football and it's still going strong. I'm tight with my money and this was a great buy and definately suitable for babies through to anyone who enjoys space.

Excellent product for kids
This was bought as a Christmas present for a 7 year old girl and I didn't have high expectations.I was extremely pleased when it arrived and I popped the batteries in ready for Christmas Day. Bearing in mind this is for children, not grown astronomers. I don't think the reviews do it justice. I know she will be over the moon when she gets to use it.I turned it on during the day with the curtains closed and you could clearly see the images and the constellations even on a bobbly ceiling, so I know it's going to be nice and bright during the evening. It would be nice if you could buy extra disks, but there's plenty already there. All in all I'm very happy I chose this one!

Bring the universe into your home
This was my nine year old grandson's favourite Christmas present. He is fascinated by stars, planets and galaxies and was thrilled to have them orbiting his bedroom every night as he goes to sleep. A brilliant gadget for anyone interested in the universe.

Have had two, both have stopped working after a few months
Bought for my son who prefers it without the done and just uses it as a nightlight. Annoyingly there is no timer on it so it runs all night, so need rechargeable batteries replaced every few days. After a few months it stopped working - I took it apart but nothing easy to diagnose/fix. I gave up and bought another - has just packed up as well. Not bothering with another….

Infinity and beyond
Nice item and simple to operate. The children love it reflecting on the ceiling despite being only two years old (f) adn three and a half (m). Grandad is teaching them the constellations.Downside is we began with cheap batteries that gave poor light reflecting projection, when more expensive batteries inserted light reflection improved dramatically. It has been a great hit with both children.
