Some thing very important
Dear seller: the product was good and the price reasonable but I was concerned that this filter didn't fit on the jug with a valve !!!! and no one mentioned this problem that's why I was using my old jug which does not have a valve !!!!! and I am still looking for a Breta filter suitable for the jug valve, which I don't find at all !!!!! I'm not complaining about your product but about the information you didn't mention ( this filter you can use it to the jug without a valve !!!! thanks

Great value for money
You can't grumble getting 12 cartridges at this price, compared with other generic or brita filters. Like the brita filters, they just slot in and out again with ease. One thing I would warn you about though is the pack only comes with one filter adaptor for your kettle/water jug. If you have both like myself, you have to buy another adaptor for £3-£4.Other than that little hiccup the filters are great value for money, they work and I definitely buy them again

These don't work in my Brita Luna
These cartridges didn't work in my Brita Aluna jug, although the compatibility table says it will. My jug has a special valve in the bottom of the filter housing that is operated by a little device in the original Brita cartridge but is missing in this cartridge. I realise its something that Brita must be doing to try to make us by their cartridges. To get over the problem I just drilled a 4mm hole next to the valve, now it works fine. I do understand that if you haven't got a drill this solution is no good for you!

Works great with Brita Maxtra
Make sure you look for the little adapter at the bottom of the pack - lots of people give bad reviews stating that this product does not work but seems that they are "missing the trick".Works fine - water tastes good.Good value for money - would recommend

Unknown effectives it is not like for like Britta.(Pictures comparison with Britta. Britta alwasy the right hand picture)
I decided to buy in order to see myself why is so much cheaper. Below I have a comprehensive review on the item.Firstly to clarify I have used it for 2 months (2 cartridges). I will also compare it like for like with a Brita cartridge. No issues in the taste of the water filtered with the Qualtex. My tab water in general is good and normally I will also drink it directly from the tab with no issues. The flow of the Qualtex cartridge is somehow lower than the Brita one, in other words it takes longer to empty the top jag compartment. This is apparent when you see the comparison of the Brita and Qualtex from the picture. The Brita has more holes allowing the water to filter quicker. The Qualtex cartridges have no designation on them whatsoever, whilst the Brita has a full part number engraved on it. The wrapping is completely white whilst the Brita is full of information contacts and other designations (see picture examples of both). Brita is made in the UK, Qualtex is made in China. On the box of the Qualtex there is nothing at all in terms of certification, and no quality standards designation. This is quite worrying because it appears that Qualtex cartridge has not been tested for anything therefore no guaranty it is safe to use. Inside the cartridges the bids are also different. The mixture of the Qualtex is lighter overall in colour therefore there are more white bids than black ones. Britta has very few yellowish larger bids as well which I could not find in the Qualtex. Therefore the filtering mechanism is definitely not the same as Britta's. In general terms it looks like a poor copy in the naked eye with not Quality standards certifications or any kind of official designations. In conclusion you drink at your own risk. There is no apparent difference in the odour or taste of the filtered water coming out from the Qualtex therefore it does not appear to make the water worse, but I cannot see any evidences that is equally effective chemically as the Britta. I do not think it replaces Britta. It is significantly cheaper but for a clear reason. as far as compatibility with my refrigerator Britta compartment, no issues it fits well and it works fine. I would prefer to wait and try to buy Britta's again on offers.

Just about to buy 2nd 12 pack!
So I'm about to buy my 2nd 12 pack, having used these for the last 12 months I can confidently say we have no timescale in the kettle, no scum on the tea. Yes they filter slightly slower and are slightly different underneath but thats no hardship. I cant comment on what's inside the filter but I cant for the genuine Brita filters either!! We live in a very hard water area and I can tell the difference when the water has been filtered. I'm happy with quality and price.
