I think this worked well.. until it stopped working.

Well, when I ordered rhis, it only came with one instead of two or three like it does now. It's so tiny and covers such a small area anyway, I feel like maybe it would better serve its purpose to only sell sets of multiples... which it appeaes they may be doing now. That said, I think it works well enough, but it is definitely a personal item that needs to be right next to you to be effective.

To me this seems like a personal device for one person or possibly two at the most. You have to sit in close proximity for it to be anywhere near effective. It doesn't create a draft. It just spins around and there's barely any noticeable air moving. The flaps just hang down and go out slightly when turned on. The on/off switch is on the bottom. It requires (2) AA batteries which are not included. You pull it straight up until it looks like a tall pyramid. When it clicks it's in place and you cannot push it back down. That makes it mighty unhandy to store. I thought of getting more of these to provide more coverage. But I am not sold on really how effective it would be even then. I would need about four to cover a whole picnic table. Don't know that I want that investment. And storing four takes up a lot of space. It does do what it claims. Just doesn't cover a very big area.

This came in good packaging and free of damage. The propellers work as they should and assembly was quite easy. Unfortunately, it has been unseasonably cold so I can’t say how effective it is at repelling flies. We plan on using this camping and our only complaint is that once the tower is extended it does not retract, making it difficult to quick throw in a bag for a picnic.Will update when we can use with flies.

This Adawook fly fan is good but not great. I thought that the wind from the fan would be alot strong. It's perfect for 4 seat plating. Good bye fly

Had one of those today. We had pot roast in bowls, that should attract insects, right? So I placed the fan between my wife and I and watched the activity as we ate. I didn’t see any flies, or mosquitos, but here is what I did see: carpenter bees.I saw carpenter bees heading straight towards this fly repellent fan and as soon as they got to where I believe it saw this thing, they turned immediately away. I saw it happen three times, straight towards it then 180 deg turn.I’ll see sometime how it works with other flying insects, but so far, it seems to work!

I really loved the nice folded form factor it came in, but once you snap it in place it's hard to snap back. The middle can be collapsed if you really push a side from the bottom hard enough, and if you use a flat head screw driver maybe you can collapse the top too. Just a shame it doesn’t collapse.All in all even when powered on the wings do not expand all the way, so the span is smaller because it curves down or doesn’t spin fast enough for more length. Hey I want these batteries to last, so I’ll take every inch I get so far.All that aside, it does keep the flies off my food when I'm outside. Also comes with a free grill cleaning and bottle opening tool.
