How to make an Octo LNB fit an old SKY sat dish.
LNB is not designed to do a straight swap over. It basically wont fit. So if your dish arm looks like picture 1, this is how to make it fit. Pic 6 shows the octo as delivered. Remove the collar on the octo and the collar on the sky dish. My sky dish had locating lugs on it to mate with the LNB (pic 3). you might not have to remove them so do a dry run first to see if the collar fits snugly when screwed up but not overtightened. I removed the lugs and put packing around the LNB neck. I put the collar back into place. Helpfull here to have made a note of the angle the old LNB was fitted. Mine was about 5-10 degrees offset. Pics 2 & 7 show the mating marks for the Octo collar and LNB. Pics 4,5 & 8 show it all fitted and working perfectly. I numbered all of the cables before disassembly and on the old LNB just in case they had to go back. I fitted them onto the Octo just by following the numbers on the LNB 1,2,3,4. Simplezz!!Picture is fine. No better than before and no worse.

Excellent Octo and Good Price
I have been looking for an Octo for a little while to enable me to put a freest box with two satellite inputs into my bedroom. my existing LNB only had 4 outputs and these were already being used to run two Sky Plus HD boxes.I took the plunge (at this price not much of a plunge really) and purchased this octo. When I tried to fix the new LNB to my existing satellite dish the fittings provided could not be used, but it was simply a matter of taking the existing fittings from the 4 way LNB and screwing them to the new 8 way.All in all it only took me ten minutes to fit this and I was up and running.Great Product, quick delivery and good price. What more could you ask. Would highly recommend.

A good product.
Arrived on time and in good condition. I had to pack the neck of the LNB in order to fit it to the old bracket but it worked perfectly afterwards with a very good signal and no adjustment to the dish. Brackets supplied did not fit my dish but I was able to use the old one as already stated. A good product.

Easy Peasy
This is a first class product at a bargain price ( The equivalent at Maplins is £80).It was very easy to fit and adjust. As the spigot (finger) fitting was not compatible with my Sky dish I had to use the alternative fitting . The supplied push through plastic screwy thing was not up to the job but, as an earlier reviewer advised, a small nut and bolt and a couple of washers did the job. The signal strength and signal quality is now better than before. I highly recommend this LNB - I am well chuffed.

Better then OEM !
After going through 2 crap Sky LNBs that NEVER worked if someone spit while outside or if someone passed wind anywhere near the dish I even saw it go out one time when a bird flew past it!I decided to take on the challenge of fixing it and hopefully making it better myself this time.I have to say this is the best investment I have made to my whole home entertainment system. We had our first storm last night with 40 to 50 mile an hour winds and monsoon rains with a sky completely covered in clouds and I did not get as much as one pixel out of place the whole night, this thing is AWESOME.

Brilliant and fool proof to fit
Fantastic replacement for 4 way that was already fittedTook 5 mins to install and perfect picture right from the start!Slight deviation from the image but for the better as it’s shorter than it looked on the image

Great product but needed different adaptor for Mk1 Sky Dish
This product is good quality despite its low cost. The SD & HD signal to both sky and freesat is excellent.Beware the LNB adaptor provided for older dishes is only suitable for Mk2 dishes onwards. If you have a pre 2004 dish it may be a Mk1 and as I found, this has a smaller 23mm x 9mm socket for the LNB adapter. Specialists will tell you that a Mk1 adapter is no longer available, but KENABLE sell a Fortec Star LNB Adapter Clip For MK - 1 MK3 Sky Dishes (through AMAZON) that enables this Zinwell Octo to fit easily. I got the strongest signal by not engaging it fully. I pushed it home and then withdrew about 20mm to get the best result. I secured it with a small self tapper to ensure it didn't move.
