I'm caucasian with medium curly, thick hair. will this work on me? anyone know if there are travel size of this and the conditioner in the line?

This product will work in your hair. I use this and I have very similar hair to you. I would advise being careful when using Shea Moisture styling products to keep the product away from the roots. It can make your hair pretty oily. For the travel sizes, I have seen smaller versions at places like Marshall’s, Tjmaxx, etc.

would you recommend this for 4b/c hair?

Yes, this product has a great fragrance and it leaves your hair feeling silky. I don't have curly hair but it worked very well with my hair texture.

Why does it make my hair feel greasy when I wash it out?

Since this is a moisturizing shampoo and sulfate free maybe try to co wash your hair before you use this once to get all the products out your hair and then use this during the week. Or maybe rinse your hair with the water being a little hotter. I love this and it doesn't do my hair like this. But my water is not warm when I wash it out either, it's s a little hotter.
