Work out at about £1.50 per book which is quite good. Lined (no margin or holes) and fairly good paper - not too thin and not as thick as pukka pads for example. I got these as I produce a prolific amount of notes for uni work. I write using gel pens and these don't go through the paper so you can write on both sides, although you can tell if there is writing on the otherside slightly. It helps to have covers of many different colours to help differentiate between different topics. The covers are matt and can be write upon unlike other shiny surfaced books. The binder is neat and small and is therefore not easily pulled out. Best of all they are great value!

Fantastic notemaker
I have yet to find a notemaker that competes with these. They are of phenomenal quality in all respects: Smooth, strong paper that just draws your pen through beautifully, no grating or scratching. Pages rip off effortlessly...no margins or pointless hole punches...just a nice whole page of wonderful quality ruled paper. The lines are perfectly spaced and the cover is thick for great protection in bags etc. Really recommend. The only thing I don't like is the cover design, but hey, you can't have everything. Go for it! These clairefontaine paper pads are possibly one of the nicest pads your will ever write on. The paper quality far exceeds anything else I have brought from WHSmith or Pukka or any other brand.

Brilliant note books
Wanted these books to keep notes on family history research. Because of the different colours, I was able to choose a different colour for each branch of the family. I also like to make my notes in pencil, so that they can be rubbed out if I find out further information. The pages in these notebooks are a good quality and enables me to rub out information easily. Some notebooks I've used in the past have had inferior paper that doesn't allow you to rub out words or dates. The covers of the books are also made from thick card. All in all I'm very pleased with these notebooks. I will certainly use them again as needed.

Excellent Quality Paper
Brilliant notebooks - beautiful quality paper, lovely and glossy. I can easily write on them with a fountain pen (typically Lamy Safari with Lamy ink but I've yet to run into any issues with other pens and inks). All the sheets are perforated and tear easily. As they're A5 size, they were perfect for lectures in theatres with little room for writing. The fact that they come in multiple different colours (typically 2 of each), I can colour code my modules.I repurchase them every year - they're just brilliant quality.

The best value for fountain pens
Review is for the A4 10 pack. This 10 pack is not quite as smooth as the individual version I bought over a year ago, but that is probably down to batch variation because the other characteristics are the same. It's white wide lined paper without holes and has a useful ring binding, perforations, and separate card cover front and back. I like the rounded corners. There are no margins and you can potentially write to the edge of the page if you like.Quite smooth and doesn't show bleed through of inks easily, unlike the Pukka pad I tried which was a waste of money as I could only write on it one side. This paper doesn't show up sheening inks especially well. There is some sheen but it's not like Tomoe River paper. At current prices this value is probably too good to last. Eventually they'll figure out a way to spoil it by making it cheaper or pulling 15 sheets. Something silly like that. So you might as well buy in bulk now...

Excellent value for money.
These are ideal for general note-taking or record keeping prior to transfer to a more permanent medium. We bought these originally for our son to use for keeping notes at University while attending lectures. We've found several uses for them at home as well. These are great for general class work at school, or for scribbling information at college or university. The only criticism is that the paper is rather porous, so fountain pens and fibre tips are likely to bleed through the page. We have had no trouble using rollerball, gel pens and conventional biros though.
