I know that packaging states it is suitable for vegans, but info on the internet states that NAC is made of human hair or chicken feathers.

It is suitable for vegans. We use the fermentation source (bacterial culture - non animal) which is synthetic. There is another type which come from hair

Are they supposed to smell like rotten eggs, i was really suprised by the smell when i opened the bottle?

The product originally smells - the strength/type of odour depends on the fermentation and type of sulphur/mineral source. When we get the raw materials if it is packed straight away the smell of the product is contained within the packaging. Sometimes the product is left overnight before it is packed so it smells less. This can mean that sometimes two drums from the same batch can smell stronger. Also different parts of the drum can smell different. The product does naturally smell and it does NOT mean the raw materials have degraded as has been suggested in a previous response.

Is it gluten and dairy free?
