is there any kind of instructions in the package? Would a novice who never changed strings be able to use it?

The packaging mentions bass. Does it also work on electric guitars?

fits really tight, works perfect on electric guitars. this is unlike the cheaper plastic ones. Even the string clipper works a treat.

How good is the bridge pin puller? I don't want to make any kind if indentation/scratches etc on my bridge.

I don't think the bridge pin puller is very good. I couldn't use it with any of my guitars. In my opinion it's best to find another make for that. The other things on it are ok though.

How does this do when cutting low guage strings? Ive got a 0.68 on my 7 string lowest string

I’ve used these for cutting bass strings, so you should have no issue with a 7-string.
