Bought this product as i was planning a large family meal and thought, how am i going to keep all the food warm!. Looked on the internet for 2nd hand hostess trolleys etc but took the option of the Homefront food server. Excellent product, the large middle tray is very useful due to its size. Be aware though that the lids are plastic not glass, not a problem to me but not sure if thats made clear in the ad for it?. Easy to use and to clean. Havent used the hot tray option yet but as a food warmer its excellent and have used it a few times now.

We had 50 people over to the house for buffet style dinner recently. I looked at renting a bain marie to help us cater for this many and they were £50+ per day - then I saw this and thought I'd give it a try. We have 2 slow cookers which I used for the 'mains' (curry and stroganoff) and we needed this for rice, potatoes and veg. It worked perfectly. All the food was kept perfectly hot and we have it to use again and share among other family members should the need arise - so much better than renting one.

This is a reasonably priced useful accessory for catering entertaining a large crowd. The centre container is a really good size for meat while the side dishes are useful for a variety of foods. The containers can be easily removed and the base used as a flat hot plate. It is very lightweight with clear plastic lids, this might be a problem if the lids could be easily damaged. I have another heavier quality 40 year old hostess server though that I feel reaches a higher temperature. I feel this new one is not as hot . There is also a switch at the front for low medium and high settings and this is easily knocked and needs checking if you want to keep the highest heat . However all in all price included I feel this is a useful item and good value for money .

Nice idea and food kept hot the downside was the very short cable... meant i couldnt put the warmer on the christmas table so had to keep in kitchen next to plug points..which was not in my original plans as didnt encourage people to help themselves. Never mind.

Had 11 for lunch yesterday and this unit was fabulous. Kept half a dozen vegetable sides hot and took a lot of the pressure off. Washes really easily too. Very pleased with this purchase.

I have a catering business and this is the 4th Food warmer I have bought over the years for events catering to keep food at the required 60 degrees temperature. The maximum it reaches is 43 degrees. It arrived dented and with cracked plastic side. I can not send it back as I used it at nd event. Cheap tin trays which o not sit properly on the hot tray. This product could have closed my business down had I been inspected by health and safety as it does not meet the required standards. I only got it because the middle tray is bigger than my other 3 warmers which are great products. Save your money and your health please.

This was excellent. I used it to keep some left over Christmas food eg meats with gravy, veg, Yorkshire puddings. This is just for a little snack later. It’s easy to clean wash containers like you would a pot of veg and dried, ready for use again. Warming time is controlled as required so as not to dry out your foods. it’s a good size too for the 3 of us (2 of which are men who loves food) but plenty big enough for about 6. Used it since then for warming food when ever needed.

we were delighted to receive this and have enjoyed using it. However after 3 uses the plastic lids are showing signs of wear and cracks are appearing. what a disappointment. The lis have only been washed by hand. What a shame that these poor quality lids let down what is a useful product. Can these lids be replaced. A shame they are not glass as our original ones were.
