Easy Reader 35 mm Watch

This is my third Timex watch of this particular model. They are brilliant watches for a really great price. They have generally given me approximately seven to eight years of use before wear and tear have prompted me to replace them. I like this model for several reasons; the clear white dial with large numbers is very visible and the day/date readout is useful and easy to read; the smart leather strap is made from soft leather and comfortable to wear. A very useful feature is the INDIGLO night light which illuminates the white dial when the adjustment crown is pressed in; there is enough illumination to see your way across a darkened room! This watch is advertised to be water resistant to 30 meters. The watch is very hard wearing and very easy to wear; it looks more expensive than it actually costs, I highly recommend this Timex timepiece!

This is my review of "Timex Men's Easy Reader Brown Leather Watch - T20041" From the date of posting this review, i have had the product for 4 months, wearing it constantly within these 4 months. The first thing that strikes you is the clarity of the face of the watch. It truely is an easy reader, the numbers stand out well meaning you can take a glance and be able to make out the time - your eyes don't get lost in the watch unlike others. The leather strap looks durable and seems to be keeping up with the constant (ab)use. It has everything i look for in a watch: shows the specific day, date, water resistant and has a light. Its waterproof for everyday use (not swimming) and i never take mine off when in the shower and as expected, it continues to work. It is worth noting, it is on the smaller side for a watch. I have smaller hands and slim wrists so this watch suits me down to the ground. it doesn't look overly bulky on my wrist (a problem i've had with previous watches) so if you have the same issue i've had in the past, this watch wont make your wrist look as if it's being weighed down. Lastly the light on the watch is what you expect. A green glowing light that is turned on by pushing (and holding) the crown. This is a great product and when i was searching around, the battery life was around the 4-5 year mark. So for the price (£29.99 at time of purchase) this is an absolute bargain and would recommend to anyone looking for a practical watch for everyday use.

lovely watch but they say easy reading but you can't see day and date so small other than that nice size don't realise it's not to bulky some watches feel uncomfortable this watch feels comfortable to wear picture on advert watch face is magnified so misleading

Been using my Timex watch for quite a while now and found it to be very accurate in terms of time with hardly any drift in the minute hand at all. With the months date and day of week this is highly useful for those who need correct time based data for there jobs. It is also water resistant as well.I highly recommend it as a good buy.

I’m very pleased with the watch. Okay, there’s a tiny area at the top of the dial (and I mean tiny) that doesn’t light up when you push the crown in but that’s trivial. Other than that I really like the stylish simplicity of the watch face. Easy to read in daylight or darkness. The fantastic thing about the watch is its accuracy. I’ve had it for a week and it has only lost 3 seconds. Incredibly accurate. What I found strange was that the date is set in the normal way I.e. taking the crown out to the first click but the day of the week can only be set by continually working through the hours A long winded way to change the day of the week but only needs to be a lengthy exercise once. Great no nonsense robust watch for normal day wear and at a great price. Well done Timex !

All I want in a watch is: plain, tasteful design; easily read at a glance; decent time keeping (no need for NASA-style accuracy); luminous dial or simple light; value. This watch offers all of these things. I've had several. They're cheap enough that when the battery runs out - after about three or four years - I throw the watch away and buy another one. The strap gives up long before the watch, usually after a couple of years. But a strap (18mm) - leather, silicon, whatever - is cheap and can be kept for the next replacement. Don't listen to the moaners go on about the difficulty of setting the watch. It's not hard. I'll be gutted if Timex stops making these.

Unlike similar watches I have had, the strap that comes with this does not collect sweat and smell overtime. it does come in a fairly small size which can be both positive or negative. Having a watch that you can hear click is satisfying, at least to me. This watch has a higher pitch than larger models I've had but sadly has less of a mechanical sound. The watch tends to slide around when I have it on loose, though I am limited to keeping it that way so that my does not feel as if its under tension. The INDIGLO system which is the backlight of the dial tends to break, (with the models I have bought at least) where the light produced isn't ceased, simply stops covering the dial itself. The current watch I have hasn't done that yet though it does seem to have begun to do so with the top part of the backlight is cut off.

I think this is a great watch and good value for money. It's about the right size, maybe a bit thick, and it's certainly easy to tell the time. The indiglo function is an added bonus for when it's dark, and yes my watch also has a very small dark band across the top in the 12-o-clock position. It's about 3 minutes before and after the hour, but it can only be seen when it's very dark and you use the indiglo function. It's certainly not a problem to me, but it's as well to be aware of it before purchase. I also found setting the day to be time consuming, and the watch strap is a little on the thick side (3mm?) - but hopefully it will last longer. I wanted a watch which I could wear all the time without worrying if it got scratched, and this one fits the bill nicely. It looks good, but it's not too expensive.

Great watch, love it and have it on me everyday. But the indiglo light is not full. Top half is missing. Returned it and got another watch, same issue.

Nice looking watch. Arrived quickly. Happy that the full face lights up when side button pressed

Only problem , I think is lesser size of belt , it not big but it is smaller

Possiedo questo orologio da qualche mese e finora sono soddisfatto. Non si può pretendere di più in questa fascia di prezzo: il design è pulito, il quadrante è chiaro e facilmente leggibile e non è fastidioso da indossare. Oltre ai numeri delle ore, sul quadrante, c'è la finestra che indica il giorno della settimana (in Inglese, tre lettere) ed il numero del mese. Impostare data, ora e giorno della settimana, sul modello che ho acquistato, richiede grande precisione perché tutte le funzioni si raggiungono attraverso il solo pulsante laterale. Premendolo, invece, si illumina il quadrante di una luce verde-azzurro, particolarmente comoda quando fa buio. Ricordo che è necessario reimpostare la data ogni volta che il mese ha meno di 31 giorni. Inizialmente, all'acquisto, ero stupito dalla rigidità del cinturino e delle altre parti mobili, mentre ad oggi tutto risulta molto morbido ed anzi ho paura a fare movimenti troppo bruschi. Tutte le parti sono ancora perfettamente intatte, solo il cinturino è leggermente deformato dove abitualmente lo allaccio. È dotato di 9 fori sufficientemente ravvicinati, e due passanti di cui uno mobile per adeguarsi alla lunghezza desiderata. Come resistenza, non posso dire di sottoporlo a sollecitazioni particolari, se non che mi capita di sbatterlo spesso ed il vetro non presenta nessuna alterazione. Consiglio l'acquisto a chi ha bisogno di un orologio semplice ed immediato, senza spendere troppo.

This is a really good and plane watch for someone with smaller wrists. I enjoy the day-date feature! I personally feel that the watch looks less expensive than it's priced. It looks to me, if I didn't know what it is, like a drug store watch. However, knowing TimeX, and having another watch by them, I know this will be a great watch that you will have for a very long time! Great simple watch for people who prefer practical and more understated daily watches. The indiglow is crazy strong too, you can use it as a dim light in the dark.
