BaByliss for Men 7447BU Pro Hair Cutting Kit

I bought a set of these some 12 - 15 years ago & only the last couple of times that I’ve used them after all of that time have they started to act up not cutting evenly so it takes a good number of going over the same places to get an even cut, but I was so happy to see them still on sale all of these years later so that along with my praise & I’m seriously doubting that I’m alone with praise for these shows the overall approval of these head shears.They work brilliantly, they don’t heat up stupidly fast, their attachments are correct in measurements, they’re fairly lightweight, the oil bottle is small like most others but a fill with olive oil, rapseed or vegetable oil does the job of oiling them after all oil’s oil (juse just avoid motor oil & the likes of WD40 as these are going to come into skin contact) yes they’re plug in not battery powered but they do the job of shaving head hair brilliantly. (also they’re great if you like the short all around facial hair cut as in the not completely clean shaven look).My old set lasted around a decade & a half (if not a little longer thinking about it) because I always thoroughly cleaned them after use giving them a brush down followed with an oil always & by leaving enough power cable room at the base loose so it wouldn’t pull out & split which along with lack of cleaning & oiling are the main reasons hair clippers ruin so easily, I also carefully wrapped the power lead around the product, I looked after them basically & if you do that you get in kind in return.A top product giving a smooth cut at a great price.

Good quality

I have short hair and not getting it cut was driving me up the wall, so I decided to take the plunge and cut it myself for the first time. I was pretty nervous as I have had hairdressers really botch my hair in the past! Watched a few youtube videos and got cracking.The value of this set is unbelievable - not one but two clippers, loads of guards, clipper oil, and the straight scissors and clips too. It all fits easily into the plastic box that it comes in for storage. The only thing not included is thinning shears, which I had already bought earlier in lockdown anyway.The clippers cut really well - they didn't snag or pull and it didn't take long at all to get the whole way round my head. The guards work well - you don't end up with bald spots if you don't get the angle spot on, which I was afraid of. I used the different length guards for a fade effect on the back and sides, then trimmed the top and fringe with the straight scissors. I'm so pleased with the result! I'd say it's 95% as good as a proper haircut - and just a first attempt too. Presentable for work again at last.

Really great set of clippers, they work really well, and are very smart looking. This has a really good range of grade clips so is great for any length of hair and has so many other accessories which are all great too. The smaller clipper is brilliant and works well for stratening up around the ears, and the scissors are nice and sharp and are useful to have, making this a great at home hair dressing kit. The box is a little on the flimsy side but I find it fits everything in nicely and stores well, I wouldn't be traveling anywhere with it so it doesn't matter that the items are loose in the box, but if you wanted to use it as a professional at home hairdresser that would be moving it around a lot then you may want a better box.Overall a great product for the money.

These are just the bee's knees. They are so easy to use and give a fantastic professional finish. My daughter is the biggest critique in our family and even she was amazed at how well it cuts. The kit is robust, ergonomically well designed and superb value for money. It has everything you need to cut any type of hair, even specially tapered round the ear trimmers which give a great finish. It does take a bit of courage to try it on yourself and I'm not the best person in the world at manual dexterity but remember that you own the cutters, not the other way round and do things step by step taking your time. I now cut mine without thinking and they have very easily paid for themselves with the price of a haircut!A really worthwhile buy.

I've had a pair of Babyliss clippers for 25 years and love them. So I thought I'd buy a cheaper pair for traveling (I never actually got to travel with them). These fell apart after using them 4 times. Whatever was supposed to be fixing the bottom end of the spring in place, stopped doing so and the back blade twisted out of the machine. I took it apart to see if I could reattach it, but it was not possible. Even if I had, the tiny wires at the blade end, hook into two little holes in the plastic that look like they might only last about 50 hours. Cheap nasty rubbish that Babyliss should be ashamed to have their name on.

Bit of a different review, not used after buying a good few years ago. I (lent) it to one of the kids and haven't seen it since. I would take it that its pretty good, with not receiving it back. it was good value for money and looked sturdy with all the tools supplied
