Denver WCT-3004 Wildlife Camera 1080p 8MP with Motion Activation, Infrared Night Vision

Very pleased with this product, I'd been looking for a wild life camera for a while and this one had some very good reviews plus the price is well within most people budgets, devivered very quickly it's quite easy to set up although I still haven't figured out how to get the video to record for the 20 seconds I think I've set it for as in the set up I opted to go with picture plus video, the instructions that come with it are quite basic but you can go to the website and download the PDF instructions so I'm sure I'll get that sorted out soon hopefully, Ive had some really good shots of the wild life that comes into my garden all in all very pleased and worth the money.

Brought as a Christmas present: this review is written after a morning of use. The camera certainly seems to do what it says, and we are beginning to understand how to work it. It was not over-priced in my judgement. But the instructions (as is often the case) are unclear and misspelt so trial and error are called for! - to say nothing of frequent use of the imagination and lots of patience. Why cannot manufacturers make better efforts here? Yes, instructions are in many languages but I suspect all but one version will annoy other users as they do us. The camera seems tough enough for the job (filming garden wildlife visitors) and after 15 minutes we have a film of ourselves looking stupid flapping our arms like birds. Filming from 20 feet for over an hour we also have just a two videos of birds visiting the feeders but now know the camera will have to be a lot closer to the subject in future. We simply put the memory card slot of a PC; we have yet to test the cables for PC and TV.So I would recommend this as an inexpensive gadget for the average householder; whether it is suitable for professional use others must judge.

Having bought one wildlife camera already we wanted one with an easily accessible screen and so we purchased the Denver. It arrived very quickly and the packaging was perfect. The camera was easy to set up, the instructions were straight forward and the little remote control was simple. The first night we set it for photo and video on a timer window to cover night time only. The next day we were disappointed to find that there were no recordings except from when we were setting it up and then we noticed the strange time settings. Over the next few days we tried different settings but still the date and time or just time kept resetting to default and therefore our timer settings were pointless. We were quite frustrated as we were unable to use the camera as we had hoped and as such decided to return it. The service we received overall has been excellent but we couldn't rate the camera more than 1star as it didn't do what it said.

The reason we got this camera is simple. One of our beloved cats is missing.We have been putting out good food and that is being eaten. Who by is the mystery we want to solve. The bedding looks like it has been used, but again who by? Sadly we seem to have the one camera that was manufactured at 16.58 on a Friday, with a good weekend ahead for the quality control section.Where do I start?1. Well, it arrived safely and was well packaged. Hopes were running high.2. The instructions are written in such tiny print as to make them virtually impossible to read without a magnifier and my glasses. Tried using the quick start instructions, it didn't!3. Finally worked out where the batteries go.4. Was sure I tried to put the card in properly. Tried it the other way around, back to front, well, you never know! Husband tried all which way, decided that maybe I was right to start with.5. Then we played hunt the on/off switch. Found that more by accident rather than good management.6. Thought all was fine so set it up ready for the night. Went to bed.7. Brought camera in to view the pictures/video. No pictures! No video! 8 x totally drained, just out of the packaging, batteries!..Do I waste more money and buy rechargeable batteries, again 8 in number and put this all down to bad luck and try again? At least with rechargeable ones I am sure we can find something else to use them with if push comes to shove.We will get rechargeable ones, making the whole purchase, including the existing batteries AND the card very expensive indeed. I don't suppose we will be able to use the camera tonight, the required batteries won't be fully charged by then we feel. So, we face another night hoping and praying that Simon is well and around, but not knowing for definite. This camera was to be out reassurance, instead as things stand, it has added to our anguish.Update.I have just received a email giving me instructions on how to get this camera working. Have now updated this review to 3 stars because of their swift action and reaction to my 1 star review. Not able to try the camera again right away. Will be doing so either tomorrow (Tuesday 19h June '18 or Wednesday, 20th 2018), then I hope to be able to give it 5 stars.Just an idea, is it possible to develop a version which has an internal battery or would it make the camera too expensive?

I bought this as a gift, my husband loves it - we started by seeing how often the cats come and go in 24 hours, lots, who knew!! It also has worked brilliantly for filming the birds that visit the bird table and wildlife in the garden at night, the night vision is better than I anticipated. Clear pictures and easy to use.

Solid enough product, but after 3 nights of trying to capture our back-yard foxes, I've already given up. The sensor seems to trigger at the slightest wave of a blade of grass, so is useless here in windy Dublin. And then, even though the camera is set to record 30-second videos, it randomly switches to 1-second ones after the first few. Basically, all I get is an SD card full of lightly waving grass, with videos taken one after the other. Not impressed at all...

Also wenn ein Tier über die Terrasse huscht, nimmt diese Kamera nur die leere Terrasse auf. Lediglich die fette, latent sheba-degenerierte Katzenkugel vom Nachbarn war einmal auf der Aufnahme der Kamera gemütlich hingefläzt zu sehen. Sonst nichts.Diesen Makel habe ich einmal versucht nachzustellen: Kamera auf die Länge der Terrasse ausgerichtet, gemächlich daraufgegangen und wieder weggegangen... Erst als ich vor der Kamera ein paar Sekunden stehenblieb, löste die endlich aus.Naja... aber sonst ist das Teil prima: Infrarotblitz unsichtbar, ordenliche Nachtbilder, tolle Tagbilder, gute Verabeitung, Monitor mit Liverbildkontrolle, Fernbedienung im Deckel verstaubar- wirklich gut durchdacht und technisch sehr fähig. Bis auf diese Rudolf-Scharping-Gedenkfunktion...

The media could not be loaded. Ich habe 4 von diesen Kameras seit etlichen Monaten im Gebrauch und bin nach wie vor sehr zufrieden. Ich benutze sie um Mäuse, Ratten und andere Kleintiere zu beobachten.Zuerst die Kritikpunkte:1. Bei Tonaufnahmen in ruhiger Umgebung gibt es sehr starke Störgeräusche. Ich vermute das sind elektronische Störungen durch die Schreibvorgange auf die Speicherkarte in Kombination mit der automatischen Laustärkeregelung.. Das Problem kenne ich auch von anderen, auch hochwertigeren, Modellen.2. Wenn man Datum und Uhrzeit einstellt und danach nicht auf den Überwachungsmodus stellt sondern wieder auf off, dann vergisst die Kamera diese Zeitangaben. Das Problem tritt z.B. auf wenn man die Kameras zu Hause startklar macht, alles programmiert und für den Transport wieder ausschaltet. Dann fährt man zum Aufstellort, glaubt es ist ja alles schon eingestellt, schaltet direkt in den Überwachungsmodus und hat dann als Startzeit den Wert uas den Werkseinstellungen 2014.1.1 00:00. Alles andere ist übrigens immer noch richtig eingestellt ;=) Ich habe eine Weile gebraucht um das herauzszufinden. Man muß immer direkt vor dem Einschalten des Überwachungsmodus vorher im Testmodus gewesen sein und Datum und Uhrzeit eingestellt haben. Also immer erst vor Ort Datum und Uhrzeit einstellen.3. Die Ansprechzeit ist ein paar Sekunden, ebenso die Pause zwischen 2 Videos. Dadurch gehen mir manchmal wichtige Aufnahmen durch die Lappen.All das ist nicht schön, aber ich kann damit leben. Ich sehe vor allem den unschlagbaren Preis. Ich habe auch wesentlich teurere Kameras wie Dörr und Minox, arbeite aber eigentlich nur noch mit den Denver, die sind einfach praktischer und reichen locker was die Auflösung anbelangt. Davor hatte ich die Medion vom Aldi, auch 4 Stück, diese habe ich letzthin weggeworfen, mehr will ich dazu nicht sagen. Noch davor hatte ich 3 Stück KILLGERM MK2, aber die sind mir nach und nach kaputtgegangen. Die gibt's leider nicht mehr und war auch nicht für den Ausseneinsatz gedacht. Will sagen ich habe jetzt fast 10 Jahre Praxiserfahrung mit diversen Kamerasystemen.Ansonsten: Super Weitwinkel, gute Ausleuchtung, gute Laufzeit mit Batterien, auch im Videomodus, gute Auflösung (ich nehme eh meistens niedrige VGA Auflösung weil ich sonst zu große Datenmengen verbarbeiten muß). Die beste und robusteste Wildkamera die ich bisher hatte.Die schwarzen LEDs: für Menschen tatsächlich unsichtbar, Ratten, Mäuse und Siebenschläfer sehen die Kamera trotzdem.Ich kann diese Kamera nur empfehlen, ideales Einsteigermodell, gute Funktionalität, robust.Weiter unten hat jemand bemängelt, dass die Kamera kein Metallgehäuse hat und dass man Metallgehäuse nur bei wesentlich teureren Modellen findet. Äh? Ja, stimmt, aber es ist ein sehr stabiles Plastikgehäuse und tatsächlich bei jedem Wetter wasserdicht.

Diese Kamera ist nicht geeignet für out-door Einsätze. Wer die beiliegende Fernbedienung auch im Winter benutzen möchte, sollte sie lieber nicht in der Kamerahalterung lassen, da die Batterie bei den ersten Minusgraden nicht mehr geht. Das Batteriefach für die Kamera ist nach wenigen Einsätzen ausgeleiert und hält nicht mehr. Nach ein paar Wochen ging dann auch die Software nicht mehr und das Ding bekam ein Eigenleben. Es machte zwar Photos, jedoch nicht zu den Zeiten, die einprogrammiert waren. Auch die Videofunktion war dürftig und die Kamera filmte wann immer es ihr passte. Kann ich leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Einfach zu bedienen. Die Qualität der Fotos und der Videos sind auch ganz OK. an sich eine Einsteiger Wildkamera zu einem sehr guten Preis. Ich würde sie auch jetzt wieder kaufen
