Good quality video day and night
The media could not be loaded. Have been using a Bushnell Trophy Cam 2012 since 2013 and, although it's still working, decided to treat myself to a cam with a higher spec. After checking specs and reviews, decided on the Crenova and haven't been disappointed.Video quality, day and night, is good; I have it set at 4K and 720P, respectively. As can be seen from the video clip (04.30 in the morning), the 4K colour operates in fairly low light. I also like the fact the cam accepts a large capacity micro SDXC, I use a 512GB UHS-I U3, which means I can leave the camera operating for days on end. Triggering time is very quick, although I would have liked the minimum interval time between triggerings to have been less than the 5secs available.Over the last few weeks, the waterproofing has been well tested and proved effective, even during a thunderstorm.Because I leave the camera running for long periods, I've run an external 6v power supply to it. Initially I used a 20 metre extension lead but found the camera would not trigger at night. After testing the voltage at the camera, I found it to be 6.6v and presumed the camera was faulty so returned it, replacing it with the same model. However, the new camera performed the same and after some experimentation I found using a shorter extension lead (12 metres) meant the camera operates just fine. I communicated with the seller's customer service department and their responses very quick, polite and helpful.I haven't used the wifi component, so can't comment on that aspect.Overall, this is a compact, easy to set up and use camera, giving great results.

Works very well - good videos, but not so good stills
Crenova Trail Camera 20MP 1080P HD with 32GB Micro CardPros:1. Getting some pretty good fox videos in night (IR) mode2. Menus are pretty self explanatory.3. Build quality is pretty good, quite rugged & definately water-proof- as long as you're not trying to set up recording in the rain.4. Sensible price, I guess,- wondering if the £200+ 'higher-end' trail cameras (with things like 4G or solar-panels) produce any better results, I suspect not.5. Works with external power supply (6V, 2A), but really they should optionally supply this - or at least recommend a suitable one.Cons:1. Can't take a motion-detection video longer than 90 seconds (!)there are several options from 10 to 90 seconds, really need options for say 5 or 10 minutes, or even much more.Considering a 90 sec 1080 video is 170 MBytes, you could fit more than 180 videos on the 32 GByte micro SD card supplied,= 4.5 hours continuous video !but probably wouldn't be able to get more than 30 mins due to that commonly imposed EU-tax DSLR-versus-VideoCamera limitation,&/or possibly the filing-system 4 GByte file-limit (FAT32 ?)2. The actual delay (for video starting to record upon detecting some motion) is NOT 0.2sec, more like 10 sec, plus there's some other 8 sec delay between videos. This means for several videos of say a fox visiting for several minutes, the videos are split into 90 sec lengths,& so there's about a 18 sec gap between the end of one & the start of the next, which is really quite annoying.3. Sometims it seems to get into some states, when you are reviewing videos on-screen, where you have to turn it off & on againto get out of some menu-sequence problems (depending on circumstances).e.g. as you open the case, it is going to have detected you approaching & will probably be recording, you then switch to display-on & it aborts recording, seemingly creating an invalid file or something, so when you try to reviewyou get into situation where you can't get back to the main screen.4. Heavy on batteries, 2nd set of 8 AAs down to 1/3 power after only a few days,so now got myself a 6V, 2A adaptor which works perfectly, but obviously you have to have a (waterproof) mains socket within 10ft or so(luckily I have, for where I'm filming currently).Otherwise would recommend rechargable batteries if you're using the camera heavily...5. Have yet to get any 'good' still-images at all, I think the auto-exposure/IR doesn't work too well for stillsalways get a 'blasted-out' image of the actual subject (e.g. fox), so stopped bothering to try. However there's some sort of exposure adjustment with videos that works very well- it seems to auto adjust nicely within the first 1/2 sec or so of the video, giving nice exposure for the rest of the video.Anyway, I suspect most trail camera operate in a similar fashion & have similar problems/limitations (?),so the review score is base only on IR video results, which have always been good so far (as long as you avoid the pitfalls, some are mentioned in the manual),e.g.like not having a big & close object in view, which can really 'blast out' that object& completely darken the exposure of the rest of the view).

Excellent Wildlife camera!
As a habit I usually ignore the instructions of any device I buy and go straight in to picking up the item and getting familiar with the controls first. I only ever pick up the booklet if I get stuck. I decided to wait a few days before making my review because I could not work out how to get the camera to record. Yesterday I played with the record settings and I finally got it to work. (Yes after checking the instructions which as it turns out are not that hard to follow.) You can select "Mode" option on the LCD screen while in safe mode and choose between capturing photos, videos or photos and videos. This was a break through for me since it was automatically set to take just photos when I took mine out of the box and totally missed this option while trying to set up the camera. Picture quality in night vision is what really interests me. In pitch black, the camera is quick enough to capture pictures of mice darting past the camera with good quality. I set mine from 16MP to 20MP and it's great. The video isn't too shabby either. Battery consumption is much less while taking photos vs videos but equip some good rechargeable batteries and your set. I would recommend this product to anyone, I am thinking about buying another.Updated review: I like the first camera I bought a few weeks ago so much, I bought another! One thing I will say about the file type the camera uses is this:It records in AVI so if you want to edit your clips, you will need software to convert it to MP4 first. I have found that Nero Platinum 2018 has an app called "Nero recode" that enables you to convert the files so you can edit in any software you choose.

Wi-Fi functionality may not work correctly
The camera seems robust enough, the set up menu is easy to follow and the on-device screen is good quality. Not used in anger yet so can’t comment on the capturing of images. The big issue is the Wi-Fi function. It seems not to run on Android 14, but 13 is ok. I use an older Android 9 and it won’t connect on that either. Apple seems ok on version 16. The problem seems to be the software app required - TrailCam Link. Search on Google Play and check out the comments.
