Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, 2.5 ml, Black

This is my go-to eyeliner for 4 years now, lasts all day unless I'm laughing a lot because my eyes crease heavily. Easy to apply because of the tip and looks great, doesn't irritate my skin which is very sensitive.

Use for wings, and although its liquid the applicator is sort of like a hard pointed felt tip. Which is great, as felt tips have alot of control but seem to constantly dry out mid use for me. Lasts all day, resistant to some accidental smudging and still can be taken off easily. An eyeliner for life, and also on a budget!

Positives:- long lasting- smudge proof (it crumbles if anything)- easy to remove (you can almost peel it off by the end of the day)- actually waterproof (at least tear proof)- very black but glossy and I couldn’t find a matte waterproof versionNegatives:- brush is stubby and not flexible making it hard to get a sharp line- makes eyelashes crispy if you get it on them which makes putting on mascara clumpy- not eyelash curler friendly (even when left to dry it sticks to curler and requires reapplication, perhaps this is down to the glossy finish)- very black but glossy and I couldn’t find a matte waterproof version- it is smudge proof but if you rub hard enough it crumbles- not great on textured lidsI want to love this product, but I have to admit, despite lots of practice I just can’t get my liner crisp with it, and the inability to curl my eyelashes after my liner is on is really annoying, especially as I don’t feel like lining after the fact gives as good a result, even touch ups look wonky. When I first started using eyeliner this was the style I used, and I thought I’d get on fine after years of using pens, but honestly I think this is too finicky, and the margin for error if you’re not stellar at putting on a wing (which I am not) is too high. Plus, I’ll admit, I’ve been spoiled recently by having a tester of the KVD Tattoo Liner, which if it wasn’t ridiculously over priced, I’d love to keep using as I particularly like the brush (not felt tip) applicator, I think it gives a much cleaner, sharper result.This eyeliner has a lot going for it and if you can perfect your application or don’t need to curl your eyelashes, for the price it’s excellent, however for me I don’t think I will repurchase once it’s finishes. Instead I will continue to look for an inexpensive brush tip pen liner, or go back to products such as the L’Oréal Perfect Slim Superliner which despite not being waterproof gives a cleaner wing in my opinion.Hope this helps you decide if this product is for you or not.

very easy to apply with precise brush, it lasted ages, this photo was two hours after first applying and the colour was very dark and thick, very pigmented! best eyeliner that i've ever used i definitely recommend it <33

I’ve been wearing black eyeliner every day since I was a teenager and obsessed with wanting to look like a sort of blue eyed Cleopatra. I’ve tried many brands and bought this one based on the good reviews because my previous brand, Bobbi Brown liquid eyeliner, has been discontinued. The new ink liners are, to my mind, not nearly so good as the proper liquid ones. I can’t get a decent black line with them - it always looks too pale and thin and not like in the pictures. Because of lockdown I decided to order the Rimmel one and I’m very pleased with it. I would say it doesn’t stay on quite so well as the Bobbi Brown one, but for less than £4 versus £25 for the Bobbi Brown one, there’s no competition. Most of the time it stays on well. If you exercise and get sweaty it can smudge a little, but generally it goes on easily and stays there. Compared with the Bobbi Brown one, the brush is stiffer, which makes it easier to use, and the bottle stands upright and doesn’t leak, which is fantastic. I’ve found my new go to eyeliner!

I found this much harder to apply than the precision brush type which I've been using for decades. It's also very matt and I found it almost more grey than black when dry.I find this type of application pretty useless over thick eyeshadow too as it just gums up.

Lovely eyeliner, definitely waterproof and smudge proof once it has dried which it dries quickly. it lasts a long time i put my makeup on first thing in the morning before work around half 5 in the morning and take it off around half 9 at night maybe later depending on when i finish work and stuff and honestly when i come to take it off it still looks just as good as when i put it on in the morning
