This comes from China, so it took a while to get here. When I got home from work one day and it was there, I used it that night. Wasn't too hard to use (I put the curved end toward my fingertips, but I see in the picture that's apparently backwards) but it kind of felt like a little bit of work.The next time I was cooking, I didn't bother to use it. I am on cumadin and recently ended up with three stitches after cutting my finger while slicing an onion. The doctor said the profuse bleeding and the cut would not have ordinarily been a problem. This shield works well to prevent another such accident and it pretty easy and comfortable to use. It fits on one finger and is not cumbersome - I think this is easier than learning to cut with knuckles down since it allows you to use your normal hand position.

Those finger protectors are soo small, it's a pain in the A.. to use. tried to use only once, but never again.

A bit difficult to hold and chop, but it worked as described.

I don't always use this product, but after slicing off part of my fingernail, I have to say that I love having this finger guard when I'm chopping small things like garlic and shallot. Again, I don't always use it, but after I've just sharpened my knives, I don't want a repeat of the fingernail incident, and this finger guard is a godsend. I can chop faster and finer each time and never have to worry about slipping and cutting myself. It's a lot sturdier than I expected from the photo and comfortable on my middle finger. It also serves to scrape down the knife of whatever I've just cut.

This is a nice little addition to your kitchen to protect your fingers. You just slip it on when you are cutting. It can be a little inconvenient, as it reduces your dexterity, but unless you get a chain mail glove, this is your best option.

I liked this better than the rest of my family. There are 4 of us in my family.My husband and son said their fingers were too big to use this comfortably and they felt that it was awkward to use.My daughter said she would prefer not to use it as well.For me, It worked great. I am not a good "chopper" and my husband is always worried I will cut my finger off.SO his option is to let me use this or do all of the chopping himself.
