Great starter kit with enough input and output to excite beginners
I bought this kit to help introduce my son to electronics. It's also my first proper foray into Arduino despite having worked with microcontrollers for quite a long time. The kit is very well equipped with inputs and outputs to capture the imagination of a beginner. Being able to very quickly and easily assemble a temperature & humidity sensor with an lcd readout was a great starting point for my son, much more satisfying than the old world of lighting or flashing an LED. The slight downside of the generously equipped kit is that it's rather difficult to pack it all away again in the supplied case. As an introductory product it would be nice to keep it all together, but once unpacked it's near impossible to fit it all back in. That being said, if you take out the breadboard it is doable. All in all this does what it supposed to do very well. You are paying a slight premium for what you actually get, but it's worth the price to have everything you need in a single kit. For that reason I would totally recommend!

Great starter kit, minor learning curve
This kit has everything a beginner needs to dive into electronics—tons of components, clear tutorials, and plenty of room for creativity. Some instructions could be clearer, but nothing a quick Google search can’t fix. Overall, a solid way to start tinkering!

Great product for begineers
I really like this product, I've had it for a while now and I would recommend it for anyone getting started with electronics. If you want to get started with electronics it can be a little harder if you don't have the right tools. Even if you have a soldering iron and a bunch of old electronics that you can play around with, it might not be the best idea to start trying to solder things straight away. Even if you learn a bit of basic knowledge about electronics and know what you need to get started it can be annoying to order components off ebay and have to wait two months just to get started. That's where this kit comes in, not only did it arrive fast because it's amazon but it has all the components needed to get you started. It comes with wires that can be used to connect from the arduino to a breadboard and make it simple to make connections without soldering and risking an accident. Most components also have terminal attached to them so you can attach the wires to them with ease. The main focus point of this kit is the Arduino. Arduino's software is open source and they let any company make their own versions of the arudino for educational purposes. Elegoo uses their own arduino uno here which is much cheaper than the original arduino uno but is still a great product, lowering the price for entry to the arduino world. The arduino is a great product for begineers and elegoo uses your money efficiently to give you rhe most bang for your buck. The kit comes with lots of components ranging from easy to complicated, I would recommend starting with LED's and motors and working your way up to the stepper motor. My experience with the kit has been great and the tutorials provided also help you get started easily, if you would like to learn a bit more about electronics I would also recommend watching some videos from GreatScott on youtube.

Has everything you need
Has everything you need for getting started however the actual tutorial isn't very good and quite hard to follow if you are a complete newbie to this kind of thing.

Great intro to microprocessors.
I only gave 3 stars for beginners because it isn't a fair rating for everyone as people have different abilities and understandings of electronics. I am an old school electronics graduate (1990) so this is a very new area for me. I like the overall look and feel and it looks great value for money as most of it is modular with the option to use soldered in board options further down the line. I haven't used it yet as I only got it today but I can already see a ton of things I want to try. It came well packaged everything is there and it feels like a quality product. I am surprised by the 1% tolerance resistors because back in the day they were very expensive to buy. To be fair, back in the day a device like this was called a PLC and could cost 100s of £s and was shaped like a brick lol. Overall I think it's great and if your bringing young teens into electronics this will make their faces light with excitement and I'm sure they will take to the programming language much quicker than I will lol. Everything is there as you see in the picture and Google will soon teach you more about the components if you need more information.

I recently got the ELEGOO UNO Super Starter Kit, and it's been amazing for diving into Arduino projects. This kit has everything you need to get started, from a variety of sensors and modules to detailed instructions and tutorials. Pros: Comprehensive Kit: Includes a wide range of components (motors, sensors, LCDs, etc.), so I didn’t need to buy anything extra. Clear Tutorial: The included tutorial is beginner-friendly and walks you through each project step-by-step, which really helps for those new to electronics. High-Quality Components: The parts feel durable and well-made, especially the breadboard and wires. Great Value: For everything that’s included, the price is unbeatable. It’s perfect for experimenting without breaking the bank. Cons: A Bit Overwhelming for Absolute Beginners: There’s a lot here, which is great, but for someone with zero experience, it might take some time to get used to everything.

The quick take: This is a great kit, although the documentation is more an overview than project-based, if that is a concern for you. The long read: I started out with Arduino by getting the official Arduino Starter Kit. Being a neophyte, I was a little overwhelmed by the various options available for entering the Arduino world, so I went with the one that seemed to be the least risk, but the highest cost. Later, when shopping for a 2nd Uno and accessories, I purchased the Elegoo Super Starter Kit, which included an Uno and a nice variety of sensors/accessories at 1/3 the price of the official kit. Quickly, the Elegoo kit became my go-to recommendation for Uno starter kits -- it includes a good variety of quality components, including ones not in the official kit, and it costs a good deal less. It also comes in a great, solid plastic case with a cover that latches shut -- really nice construction that beats the cardboard box the official kit comes in. I kind of wish I had started with the Elegoo in the first place. My only caveat is that the PDF documentation included with the Elegoo kit is not as project-based as the official starter kit. The project book that comes with the official Arduino starter kit offers great introductory info and walks you through specific projects that are tied to specific components in the kit. However, the Elegoo PDF does include good introductory info, getting you started with your Uno and the IDE, walking you though a Blink sketch, and giving you a good overview of each component and how to connect them to your UNO. Beyond that, some of the official kit project chapters can be found online, the official Arduino site has a wealth of valuable introductory info, and the Arduino IDE comes with the code from the book built-in -- so as long as you're comfortable digging in and finding beginner projects online (of which there are many), the Elegoo kit will get you started using Arduino at a much lower cost. I don't think I would say that the official hard-copy project book is worth the extra $60+ cost of the official kit. Since then I've gone on to buy other Elegoo supplies and kits, and have been happy with everything they sell so far. I've only had limited interaction with their support, but I will say they were nice and helpful.
