I brought one 13 years ago. Never been covered up or had it brought in for winter. Sadly it has broken ,so as the first one lasted so long . I have stuck with the same brand . There is only one problem that the hose pipe is not as robust as it used to be .

A great garden hose which extends to its full length and then reels it all back in (you need to practice this to get it perfect each time) , in use over a year now. Needs careful positioning in the garden where you can get a permanent mains water supply. Might need a bit of plumbing for this.

Just installed this yesterday. It is a nice robust item. My advice is to get your own good quality screws as accessing the screws when installing is tricky, and the screws which come with the unit are poor quality, so will damage very easily when under pressure from a power driver. Installation is not as easy as made out, you will need to allow time and have a very slim marker to mark the holes you intend to drill...I ended up having to use a kids paint brush and some paint! A traditional pencil will not fit through the mounting points on the unit. Get good screws - You do not want to destroy a screw halfway through installation!! Other than that, the unit looks great and does what it should. It's really tidy and has really cleaned up the side passage to the house which previously had trailing hoses and lots of related trip hazards.

When hose reel is attached to the wall it is a delight to use just pull out the length you need and it auto locks. When you are finished give the hose a slight pull and it goes back into the reel its self.Good job well pleased.

The media could not be loaded. So expensive yet leaks straight out of the box. The leak is WITHIN the unit so don’t want to take apart. I’m assuming it’s because the maker either didn’t tighten enough or failed to add a sealant onto the attachment. Poor again from this company.Tried to reach customer service (open 10-2pm) but phone dropped after saying ‘go to website’. Obviously there is no customer support to talk to customers.
