VonShef 3-in-1 Sandwich Toaster, Waffle Maker & Grill - Toastie Maker with Non-Stick Removable Plates - Stainless Steel - 700W

To date, ( I have had it for one week ) I have found the 3 in 1 Sandwich/Panini/Waffle Maker a great 'little' toaster that works well. I say 'little' because there are other larger sandwich toasters available on the market, including VonShef. This VonShef is well suited for children's size sandwich toasties, panini and waffles, or for those people with not such a big appetite; otherwise I would recommend buying the larger size plate Vonshef sandwich Toaster, for a few £pounds more.It is great to be able to remove the plates after making a toasted sandwich, a panini or waffle, whatever, this makes the machine so simple and easy to clean ( after leaving the plates to cool off - safety importance ). It comes with 3 x sets of separate plates which you can swap and change for whatever you are toasting.So as to avoid over spills, OR difficult to close and lock the machine when toasting, then DO NOT over fill the sandwich you are toasting, (as is with all sandwich toasters). When the Toastie is ready - the green light will go out. Then use a plastic knife or plastic spatula to remove the sandwich, panini or waffle you have made. Wait for sandwiches to cool as they will be very hot.There are a variety of fillings you can use - you do not need a recipe book ; use your own imagination and ideas on the filling you have aliking for. The same for panini making. As for 'waffles, then you can use packet mash potato - mixed to a thickened consistency. You can even savour the potato with onion, garlic - or other herbs of your choice etcetera; you can even boil potatoes and mash them. Whatever you choose to toast in the VonShef, even many left-over foods, they make ideal and very tasty snacks....I simply love them. I have no hesitation in recommending the VonShef 3 in 1.A simple to mention tip: When the toasted sandwiches are ready and are removed from the sandwich maker, then if making two sandwiches, they will sometimes be joined together during their time of toasting. When they have cooled and can be safely handled, then rather than use a knife to to cut and separate them, you will find it far more easier to use a scissors.

I bought this for the waffle plates and had great success the first time I made waffles. I chose this model because the plates can be removed to wash them. They clip in and can be removed easily and are dishwasher safe.This is an attractive and compact waffle maker and very easy to use. As other reviewers have said: cook the waffles for about 7 minutes before opening the lid (reduce this time slightly for subsequent waffles as the plates are already hot).For anyone interested; here is a vegan recipe:**Makes 6 waffles**1 cup self-raising flour1 teaspoon baking powderpinch of salt (optional)half pint lukewarm soya milk2 tablespoons sunflower oilspray oil1) Mix dry ingredients 2) Mix wet ingredients 3) Mix wet ingredients into dry with a balloon whisk - just enough to get rid of the large lumps4) Turn on waffle maker 5) Spray plate with oil (before EACH set of waffles) 6) When green 'ready' light goes OFF, pour in the batter to just cover the plate, including the raised squares 7) Cook for approx 7 minutes.**For sweet waffles, add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to dry ingredients.Enjoy! Do NOT add sugar to the ingredients for sweet waffles as it welds itself to the plates!

This is a really good and versatile product. The interchangeable plates are easy to change and clean off really easily, but I wouldn't put them in the dishwasher. There are very clear lights on top to tell you when it's on and when its up to temperature. The catch at the front holds the top and bottom plates down well ensuring you get a nice seal around your toasted sandwich ' I got this for the waffle maker but as of yet haven't tried it but the sandwich toaster and panini plates are great. The only negatives are that there isn't a timer on it and that there are no recipes for waffles. But I guess that's what the Internet is for '

The item arrived on time. The 3-1 concept is an excellent idea and so at face value seems really good value for money. However in comparison to our previous sandwich toaster, it takes longer to heat up. The base is also quite shallow so it takes a lot of energy to close the machine and I believe the clip on the lid may fall off soon. Though I haven't used the grill plate, it does look quite shallow and I suspect it make not be very practical using it to grill chicken except it is very thinly sliced or thinly sliced vegetables. The extended guarantee is a good benefit.

I wasn't familiar with teh VonShef brand until a few years ago when I bought a milk frother. After a while the mild frother just stopped working, and when I contacted VonShef they replaced it immediately. No quibble. The reason I bought this machine was because their previous service had been so faultless so I was prepared to buy from them again. Have got it now, and tried it, it's great. I love that the plates are removable for washing thoroughly which is an issue with all other machines. And I like the flexibility it offers. Well worth paying the extra money for flexibility, a brand that looks after its customers and peace of mind.

This is a great little productYou can make Delicious toast sandwiches, waffles and PaniniThe plates are very easy to assemble and training is a breezeYou can put the plates in I dishwasher and then just wipe over the actual unit.If you got crumbs stuck in the back you can either use a steam cleaner or a toothbrush to clean it etc.It only takes a few minutes to clean.Even the children can use it for making breakfast, lunch or snacks.It’s even ideal for midnight snack LOL 😆
