Safe & Sound Pill & Tablet Cutter

I've had the other non-branded versions - and this is not a promotion for a brand - and they performed poorly in comparison, which other reviewers have said the same thing. I had very small tablets to cut and this cut them cleanly and exactly in half. But... It's not keen on the film coated ones. It goes through most of it except the other coated side and it stays on the cutting blade so I've had to gently push it to cut through. Once done it's still cut the tab in pretty much exact halves. And, unlike the non-branded ones, the tablets don't crumble. But, I've only used this on very small tablets so I can't comment on larger ones. But, for small ones, it works great.

Nice handy pill cutter - bought for my mother - who's in her 80's and struggles with fidgety things - but loves this - so good - this is her second one - the first one just wore out

Good little device, only tested it on one tablet so far, so can’t say how long it will last, but definitely worth the money compared to some out there! For only £2.99 it’s brilliant. Have arthritis in my fingers, so snapping the tablets have become harder for my fingers, so this handy device is exactly what I needed. Surprised it cut my tablet so evenly, given that the blade didn’t my feel too sharp when I gently touched it, wondering if it would do the job, but it took me by surprise, definitely a very even cut (compared to me snapping it with my hands😅). Would be better if it had somewhere to collect the tablet, in case the tablet slides out during use, and this would also allow for more tablets to be cut in one go. But can’t complain as it was cheap, arrived fast, and does the job!

I bought this to halve very small tabs. I'd tried the Boots rather more elaborate pill cutter and a sharp kitchen knife and the bread board.This Safe and Sound cutter is by orders of magnitude far superior.It's a simple design, simple to use and has a VERY sharp little blade. If you take care to line up the tablet correctly and bring the cutter down slowly but firmly, you'll end up with what I reckon must be the closest to a precision cut possible without industrial equipment! Amazing that such a small, well-designed gadget can make such a difference!Highly recommended - will definitely buy again, as needed.

I was v impressed with the Safe + Sound pill cutter. I had to divide 1 x 10mg small tablet into 4 pieces and it did it v well with no effort needed. The 1st cut was v easy, the 2nd didn't cut completely through but enough to break the sections apart. The fiddliest bit was placing the 1/2 in the right position but not a big problem.V pleased I chose this cutter.

Does not seem to want to cut completely through the cut tablet so have to carefully pull it off the sharp blade.

This pill cutter does exactly what it says it will do. It is great value for money. I was going to buy one from a chemist but I tried 3 chemists & none of them stocked them.

Vet put my cat on a quarter tablet a day and this will be for the rest of its life. I tried using a knife with a tablet on a chopping board. It worked but not well as some quarters were not really quarters. So did research on pill cutters and this one came in cheapest at £2.99 from Amazon, next day free delivery. Another site had £2.49 but with a £3.45 postage. So Amazon got the business and true to their word it arrived the next day. Very simple to use. Raise the cutter open. Place pill in the V-shaped guide and gently close it and the pill is halved. I then took one half of the pill and with the round side against the V guide, making sure it was square level at the bottom of the pill because if not the next cut would not give quarters. If you have eyesight issues or problems with finger movement then it might be a bit fiddley and only ideal for you if you want to half a tablet. Anyway, I lined up the half tablet and brought the cutter together. Perfect cut. No force is needed and no crushed tablets. I would recommend this cutter to you.
