Pretty but basic
I was expecting a bit more from these cards. They're pretty but very basic and the 8 page booklet is a disappointment.

A Neat Way to Get Started in Witchcraft
Informative cards that take you through all the seasons of a witch. Little booklet was full of info I found interesting and helpful. Great place to start for new witches.

Well rounded
The media could not be loaded. Overall very informative for anyone interested in the Occult. I feel it provides a really good overview and practical application.

Helpful tool to add to your collection.
The media could not be loaded. If you are a new witch, or old witch these cards are a useful tool to add to your collection. The artwork on the cars is pretty, and correlates to each holiday. It gives ideas for starting points for celebrating the holidays.

Great, but not sure why this is a card deck and not a book
These cards are really cute and all, but there's no discernable reason for this to be a card deck as opposed to a book. The info on these cards is super brief and basic. This could be a great first introduction to witchery for a new witch, but more experienced witches are going to find this very lacking.Had this been a book rather than a card deck, a lot more information could've been included - which leads me to wonder if the author just didn't have much to say, so they made a card deck to cover for that?Typically, card decks are for some kind of symbology that you can use for divination, shadow work, spell work, or meditation. There's absolutely none of that here. It's literally a witchcraft pamphlet spread across 52 cute cards. Since the photos only show a few cards, I had hoped to find more substance and spirituality in them, but alas. I do appreciate the deeply discounted price. The full price would've felt very unfair. But, even the discounted price can buy you books with a lot more information. The cards are divided among the 8 modern pagan sabbats - Ostara, Beltane, Summer Solstice, Lughnasadh, Mabon, Samhain, Winter Solstice, and Imbolc. You'll notice that this deck has 52 cards, which is not a multiple of 8 - and indeed, some sabbats are given seven cards (Ostara, Beltane, Summer Solstice, Lughnasadh, and Winter Solstice) while others are given six (Mabon and Samhain), and Imbolc has only 5.It seems to me that each sabbat should be given the same amount of attention. Samhain being the most important sabbat for most pagans who follow the wheel of the year, I find this especially curious. And, because I live in a place with cold winters, Imbolc is a super important source of hope and light in a very dreary time of year. I was really disappointed to see it treated so poorly here. These are the the cards for each sabbat:Ostara:Ostara general infoFertility ritualMagical creatures (Five animals with a few sentences of trivia about them)Welcome spellPlants for OstaraCrystals for OstaraNew Beginning RitualsBeltane:Beltane general infoRunes (general info and ideas for use, no actual runic alphabet depicted or explained)Tarot (very general and basic info)Plants for BeltaneCrystals for BeltaneLove RitualsFire RitualSummer Solstice:Summer Solstice general infoThe Magic Circle (Trivia about magic circles)Casting a Circle (Basic instruction on casting a circle)Plants for Summer SolsticeCrystals for Summer SolsticeMidsummer SpellsSun RitualLughnasadh:Lughnasadh general infoDowsing (Basic info about dowsing, no instruction)Pendulum (Basic instruction on use)Plants for LughnasadhCrystals for LughnasadhHarvest RitualGratitude SpellsMabon:Mabon general infoThe Magic of Trees (brief info about five different trees)Plants for MabonCrystals for MabonAutumn RitualsAutumn Equinox RitualSamhain:Samhain general infoRitual for Departed SoulsScrying (basic info on how to scry)Plants for SamhainCrystals for SamhainNew Year's SpellWinter Solstice:Winter Solstice general infoThe Moon (brief info on the new moon, waxing moon, full moon, and waning moon)Moon RitualsPlants for Winter SolsticeCrystals for Winter SolsticeHopeful SpellsDarkest Night RitualImbolc:Imbolc general infoGoddess RitualsPlants for ImbolcCrystals for ImbolcTorch RitualConclusion: New witches, this might be an approchable way to orient yourself to the Wheel of the Year along with a little magic here and there. However, you will very quickly outgrow this deck and need more thorough and comprehensive info on all of the topics included here.
