I use the $&@! out of my kitchen hammer. Peeling garlic, pounding chicken, pineapple, hard cheese, or even knuckleheads who wander into my kitchen and touch stuff with dirty hands!! lol j/k but not really. Love it. This hammer is perfectly balanced. Spike side is very well designed and effective without being too sharp. Hammer has great head weight so it sort of hammers itself. Very satisfying to use this tool. Top marks for KitchenAid, as usual.

I have been looking for a meat tenderizing tool for some time, and I saw this one on sale. It is well-balanced and the handle is well made. Kitchen Aid is a reliable brand. This is perfect to use on round steak for country fried steak or German beef rouladen. I even use the flat side to lightly tap to the seasonings on steaks or chops when we are grilling to help the seasoning stay on. I highly recommend this for the indoor or outdoor kitchen.

This tenderizer has a good heft to it, without being too heavy and cumbersome. It's well-balanced and the handle is comfortable to hold. I imagine I'll have this great tool for many years.
