The bottom piece appears to be locked and won't come off. Is there a trick to getting it off?

Use some pliers. It will come off.

Is there a place to order a cap for the glass bottle or different bottom that is just a container and not funnel shaped?

The vials are crazy cheap online I wouldn't bother with just ordering tops. I got 20 vials for $10 or something. As to the flat bottom, I haven't found anything and I have looked.

How do you take it apart to clean it?
