Mane 'n Tail Original Formula Shampoo and Conditioner Twin Pack, For Healthier Looking Hair, 355 ml (Pack of 1)

Took the plunge after reading a few mixed reviews.. And realised that everyone is different and will react to shampoos differently. I have to say - I don't think I will be using anything else after discovering this. I said I would come back and leave a review after the shampoo honeymoon period was over (you know.. when you buy a new shampoo and it's great and then your hair gets used to it and it's not so great anymore?). I've been using this for nearly 3 months now, I love it. I feel like I have a mane of hair, when I curl my hair it stays like it for days and has a natural wave in it. It's SO fluffy when I dry it and I love it, good fluffy not frizz fluffy. I've been receiving a lot of compliments since using it, it's made my hair very soft and shiny and the growth is fantastic. I had a load of hair lopped off at the end of February and my hairdresser can't believe how much it's grown already (I wish I took a before photo now!). I used to use Aussie Mega and loved it.. But this is even better! And it's not expensive and lasts for around 2 months.. Actually maybe a month and a half if I'm being honest.The product itself, the shampoo has a very umm.. viscous texture haha. It took a bit of getting used to at first, it's super lathery and doesn't smell of much at all. Though I would say my hair smells nice after!Basically I love this shampoo and conditioner, I'd be pretty devestated if I couldn't buy it anymore. My mum is just about to start Chemo, the type that thins your hair and doesn't make it fall out apparently. I've just stocked up on it for her after seeing some of the reviews where people have had Alopecia and it's grown back.Lau x------******* EDIT - 11.05.16 *******Hello!Thought I would come back and edit my review. My mum is nearing the end of her chemo/radiotherapy treatment, she has 8 treatments left to go. She thinks that this shampoo is the best thing ever, her chemo wasn't the type to make your hair fall out (unless you are really unlucky) but would most likely thin it quite a bit. She is 5 weeks into her treatment and her hair is incredible. She has been recommending this shampoo to lots of people at her hospital and work colleagues who are going through similar treatments. I was with her at the weekend and I have to say her hair looked lovely, thick and fluffy - Just how mine goes when using it. Hair loss has been minimal and hair thinning has been pretty mum non-existant. She did say that some of her grey hairs fell out but she won't complain about that ;)Lau x

This is the first time I've ever written a product review for something I've bought online, so it goes to show just how awesome this product is.Having recently moved to a house in a very hard water water area, I'd noticed that my hair (normally light blonde and very thin) was looking dull, limp and greasy due to all the minerals in the water.In a desperate attempt to make it look better, I took to using a 'lightening spray' (I won't mention any product names here) to boost my colour back to blonde again as I can't afford to have it highlighted every couple of weeks. Little did I realise, this spray contains all manner of nasty things like peroxide, ammonia, etc.Result: very damaged hair and one very grumpy hairdresser.I won't lie, when he recommended that I start using 'horse shampoo' to fix the dreadful mess on my head, I wasn't overly amused (although that said, the kids found it HILARIOUS). I somewhat reluctantly made the purchase and thought I'd better give at a go, just to appease him...So here I am, ten days on. My hair is amazing. It's not looking dull and lifeless at all. I haven't used the lightening spray for two weeks, but my hair (even the roots) are looking naturally blonder and there's no hint of greasiness.I won't go so far as to say that it looks 'thicker' as such, but it's definitely bouncier and feels really smooth. The lightening spray had coated some of my hair in a residue that felt almost sticky when my hair was damp. That had been going on for a couple of months, but the stickiness has completely disappeared and I have no trouble running a comb through my hair whatsoever.This shampoo/conditioner is by far the best I've ever used and I won't be changing to anything else (unless I'm ordered to in the future by my hairdresser).To finish it off, I use a very small blob of Macadamia Natural Healing Oil Hair Treatment which I rub between my hands and run through the length and ends of my hair as a serum. (They sell it on Amazon, just type it into the search bar). It's money well spent and is the perfect way to complement the 'horse shampoo' to give my hair an even smoother and shinier finish.If you do nothing else today, then just for goodness sake follow everyone's advice on here and buy some of this stuff. Give it a week to work it's magic, and I reckon you'll thank me for spending my lunch-break so wisely :-).Happy shampooing!

Waited to review until I used a good amount.Had high hopes as had good reviews but found it to be just okay. Shampoo has a nice clean smell. Texture is a thick and it slides off your hand so you have to mix with water quickly. Good shampoo of your hair has excess oils. Found it quite stripping and my hair was dryer after washing.Conditioner is similar. Nice spent. Texture easy to spread through hair length. Described as moisturising but it rinses very well so I didn't find the moisture stayed on the hair and it rinses clean. I had to use other products to put the moisture back in.Good for oily to normal hair.
