OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER UNLIMITED H1, Halogen headlamp, 64150NBU-HCB, 12V passenger car, duobox (2 units)

Let me start off by saying that having used them on our last two cars, I'm a huge fan of the  Osram Night Breaker Plus 64150NBP H1 12V 55W Twin Pack of Headlight Bulbs  - they really do make the standard OEM bulbs look like candles, without blinding oncoming traffic.I recently took ownership of a new car and was once again amazed at how dim the OEM headlights are!With winter well on it's way, I logged onto Amazon to order a replacement set of the usual NightBreaker Plus bulbs. While I was looking for the correct model (H1), I stumbled across these NightBreaker Unlimited bulbs.They are a little more costly than the "Plus" bulbs I was looking for, but figured I'd take a chance, thinking that as long as they were as good as the "Plus" version, they would still be infinitely better than the standard bulbs; and money well spent.Well, they arrived (very quickly) and I had them installed in minutes (check your car's manual for details of how to change the bulbs) - I couldn't resist flicking the lights on after swapping out the first of the bulbs to see if the difference was noticeable as I was expecting. It was!With the second bulb in, it was time for the road test.These things are bright! VERY bright! They seem to light up the road for miles! Street signs become visible way before there are readable and the cats-eyes light up like a runway!I can't with any certainty say whether these are brighter than the slightly cheaper "Plus" version, but I like to believe that they are (if for no other reason than to justify the added cost!)I'm also not able to comment on the longevity of them, however if they are anything like the "Plus" version, they will last at least the next two years - I'll update this review if they pop before then.In short, I you are looking for something (legal) to throw (significantly) more light on the road, particularly over the winter months, look no further!I have also since replaced both the park lights and the main (dipped) beams with: Osram Cool Blue Intense 2825HCBI-02B W5W 12V 5W Twin Blister Pack and New Osram H7 Night Breaker Unlimited with up to +110% more light, 64210NBU-02B 12V 55W, Twin Blister of Headlight Bulbs respectively - couldn't be happier!

If you do a lot of night driving then these lamps are an essential upgrade for your vehicle's headlights. I've been using these on my van for a couple of years now! I drive to and from gigs most weekends where it's not unusual to be driving on dark unlit country roads in the early hours. These really do put more light on the road!But... Please be aware that these do not last as long as standard brightness lamps. The filaments burn a lot hotter than usual hence the whiter and brighter light, much like that of a traditional halogen projector lamp. But I'm sure you will agree the extra brightness is worth the small sacrifice in more frequent replacements. Yes, I am a nerd! The difference is well worth it! For best results, always replace in pairs after the first lamp fails (usually the near side on my van, the access behind the headlight isn't great for the fat sausage fingers of a forty something wedding DJ!) as after the first fails, the other won't be far behind! Fit these and brighten up your night drives!

As per the H4 bulbs I bought at the same time I bought these bulbs to replace a set of Osram nightbreakers ( Up to 100% more light). I did wonder if I would see any difference and was suprised to say that I think that they are putting a better beam out than the previous bulbs. I appreciate this may be down to this pair of bulbs being better matched ( Bulb reviews in popular car magazines often show a significant difference in bulb performance down to poor build quality) but I can see a marked improvement. At this price they are great value as the normal price is about as much again. A work colleague had noted the light intensity of the previous set which appears a brilliant white and this is the same for these items. Very satisfied.

Bought these a while back for an Impreza and was looking for a decent bulb that would be bright and look nice and fresh without that old yellow tinge, but also not be dangerous to other road users by blinding them with blue light. Whilst i was initially a bit disappointed with how they looked, as they were still a little yellow and not quite as crisp as i would have liked, the rest of the experience was spot on. Theyre bright for a start and have a good enough range on them to be effective. Despite their brightness, they are not so dazzling that it blinds oncoming road users and i've had no flashes from other drivers which you often get if you buy silly bulbs. My only issue was with the cosmetic element so i wont judge too harshly on this.Its taken so long for me to review these that there are probably better options available out there now. But for a non Xenon or HID bulb, i rated these quite highly and would recommend as they performed very well and did light up the road well at night. Just dont expect an icy blue colour to them.

Only just installed them, but they are a huge improvement on original bulbs. Brighter, whiter and can see much further - so driving at night is much safer and relaxing.Have read reviews which say that they only last for six months, but if that's the case I'd still be happy with them as the improvement is well worth it. Previously had to flick main beams on to compensate for 'candle' intensity dipped beams, but no longer have to do this now. Only paid £13 for them on Amazon, so for the price of a few beers, they're good value too. In case it helps, my car is a Mk1 Audi TT.

The brightness is as mentioned.. Seriously brighter.. Recommended for all h1 stock replacements.

Did lots of research, they are the brightest but not the whitest. I have them in my high beams which are also my DTRL on my 06 CRV. A dramatic upgrade. If you want super white look at others but if you want the brightest for rural driving these are the ones to get.

Favolose! Avevo seri problemi di visibilitá notturna con gli anabbaglianti della mia Honda CRV modello 2007. Che dire,l'intensitá di illuminazione é raddoppiata per davvero,non scherzo. E non é perché le lampade precedenti fossero troppo vecchie. Le avevo giá sostituite con delle lampade bosh precedentemente. La luce é anche sensibilmente piú bianca. Migliorata di molto la visibilitá sia laterale che in profonditá. Le straconsiglio,con una minima spesa permettono di migliorare di molto le performance dei fari. Vedremo la durata nel tempo.

The media could not be loaded.  ▌► VORAB ◄▐Vorab erklärt - für alle, die etwas Basis-Wissen über das Thema XENON/Halogen, Alternative zu XENON mit weißem Licht etc. wissen möchten: Es ist nämlich ein Thema, dass leider viele unterschätzen und gar nicht so recht wissen, worauf es eigentlich ankommt. Ich möchte mir die Mühe machen und das gesamte Thema mal grob zusammen fassen, um anderen die Arbeit zu ersparen, dass alles zu testen und selbst zu probieren. Ich selbst habe ich mit dem Thema nun mehrfach auseinander gesetzt und viele Leuchtmittel verglichen, egal ob Philips, Osram oder LED-Alternativen. Alles (!) hat seine Vor- und Nachteile, vor allem im Hinblick zu echtem XENON Licht. Was ich genau damit meine, möchte ich kurz und knapp zusammen fassen.Wer das alles sowieso schon weiß, einfach überspringen, ansonsten:- Halogen (oder LED) als Alternative zum XENON (weißes Licht)- Was ist erlaubt, was ist verboten- Vor- und Nachteile von gelbem/weißem Licht- Worauf man beim Kauf achten sollteIch selbst fahre einen recht neuen Audi A3 mit XENON, einzig und alleine meine Nebelscheinwerfer vorne sind Halogen. Auch Tagfahrlicht (TFL) sind LED. Ich muss gestehen, ich bin absolut XENON-verwöhnt und würde dies auch jederzeit Halogen vorziehen. Es ist einfach deutlich heller, kraftvoller und derzeit nur mit der allerneusten LED-Technik zu toppen. Jeder, der mal nachts mit XENON gefahren ist, wird mir dabei Recht geben. Sogar bei Regen deutlich besser als alles mit Halogen. Nachteile bei echtem XENON sind eben die hohen Wartungskosten, wenn dann doch mal was kaputt geht: Da rollt einem ein Ei aus dem Sack, wenn man hört, was solch neue Brenner kosten... Wie auch immer - wir haben in der Familie auch noch einen Audi A1 ohne XENON, bei dem die Lichtausbeute wirklich ein Witz war. Wenn ich mit dem unterwegs war und es dunkel wurde, war das für mich enorm unangenehm, da es wirklich eine "Funzel" im Vergleich zum XENON war. Klar, vergleichen kann man das nicht - dennoch war mir das serienmäßige Licht einfach zu gering. Vor allem der Unterschied mit/ohne Fernlicht war nicht gerade die Welt, hat kaum Unterschied gemacht. Und das obwohl Scheinwerfer korrekt eingestellt und absolut sauber waren.Nun, was tun? Erst einmal viel im Internet recherchiert und gelesen, dieverse Foren und Tests, natürlich auch hier auf Amazon. Ich habe mehrere Produkte unterschiedlicher Hersteller bestellt und über eine ganze Zeit lang getestet, um alle Vor- und Nachteile ausfindig zu machen, zumindest so gut es mir das möglich war. Fakt ist, die Osram-Nightbreaker gehören definitiv zu den zwei besten Halogen-Leuchtmittel, die es derzeit zu kaufen gibt. Die einzige Alternative dazu wären vielleicht noch die Philips XTreme Vision, ich habe mich jedoch letztendlich für Osram entschieden.Viele wollen weg von gelbem Licht, welches meist - vor allem in älteren Autos - serienmäßig verbaut ist. Aber auch in vielen Neuwagen steckt viel gelbes Licht in Form von Halogen, ganz egal welcher Marke. Optisch wirklich kein Hingucker, schöner wär's doch weiß, also wird kurzerhand nach einer XENON-Alternative mit schönem weißen Licht gesucht. Leider muss man genau hier aufpassen, denn hier gibt's die erste Falle: Viele Hersteller (vor allem Fernost & Co.) bieten mit sogenannten "XENON LOOK" irgendwelchen Mist in Form von Halogen/LED an, was zunächst vielversprechend klingt. Leider ist der Ärger in 99% der Fälle jedoch vorprogrammiert, aufgrund von schlechter Verarbeitung, Inkompatiblität, Fehlfunktion, geringer Lebensdauer, Fehlermeldungen im Boardcomputer etc etc. Ich selbst und habe einige getestet und ausprobiert, hier gilt ganz klar: Finger weg. Das Geld kann man genau so gut aus dem Fenster werfen, auch wenn es meist nur paar Euro sind.Eine wirkliche 1:1 Alternative zu XENON gibt es einfach nicht. Selbst wenn mit selber Farbtemperatur (Kelvin) geworben wird, wird es nie nie nie nie so aussehen und vor allem wirken. Darüber muss man sich bewusst sein, es ist einfach nicht möglich! XENON Licht wird durch ein ganz anderes Verfahren erzeugt, das geht bei Halogen einfach nicht, um's nun mal ganz einfach zu beschreiben. Man muss sich damit abfinden.Einzig und allein kann man versuchen, das Licht etwas heller und deutlich weißer zu bekommen, wie es meist eben ist. Und das ist ein Thema, was leider viel zu viele überschätzen. Das sieht man deutlich, wenn man hier sich die zahlreichen negativen Rezensionen anschaut. Viele denken, da wo XENON drauf steht, kommt auch XENON raus - genau das ist eben falsch! :o) Die Hersteller, vor allem Osram und Philips, versuchen eben das Beste Ergebnis im möglichen heraus zu holen und das Licht auf alle (!) zusammen gefassten Bedüfnisse umzusetzen, dabei stößt man eben auch an Grenzen des möglichen. Wie bereits oben beschrieben, mehr ist nicht drin. Trotz allem kann sich das Ergebnis der Osam Nightbreaker Unlimited deutlich sehen lassen! Sie sind deutlich heller und auch sichtbar deutlich weißer als andere, auch die allgemeine Lichtausbeute ist um einiges besser. Fakt ist und bleibt aber, mit dem Wort "XENON" wird nur geworben, auch die Produktbildchen werden gut und gerne etwas verschönert, indem man das Licht schön weiß darstellt.Erwähnenswert ist hier aber auch noch eine wichtige Tatsache: Man bewegt sich hiermit auf legalem Wege. Baut man sich irgendwelche Leuchtmittel aus China & Co. ein, kann das schnell teuer werden. Dann erlischt mal eben ganz schnell die Zulassung vom Fahrzeug, bis man sein Wagen wieder in den Zustand der erlaubten StVZO gebracht hat. Zu den sonstigen Nachteilen habe ich ja bereits einiges geschrieben...Desweiteren gilt ebenfalls eine wichtige Regel zum Thema gelbes/weißes Licht: Gelbliches Licht hat mehr Leuchtkraft bzw. deutlich höhere Ausbeute. Auch der Grund, wieso das meist serienmäßig verbaut wird. Damit deckt man einfach so den Standard in allen Situationen ab. -- Wie man das am besten vergleicht? Bei Nacht und Regen fahren, denn genau da hat weißes Licht einen Nachteil: Es wird mehr "verschluckt" und somit fährt man deutlich blinder. Das ist auch teilweise bei echtem XENON so, wobei es sich dabei noch in Grenzen hält. Hier sollte man sich also darüber bewusst sein, dass alles seine Vor- und Nachteile hat. Was bringt einem ein noch so schönes weißes Licht, wenn man nachts bei Regen blind fährt? Nichts. Bei Tagfahrlicht mag das keinen Unterschied machen, aber bei Abblendlicht und Fernlicht sowie auch den Nebelscheinwerfer spielt das doch eine deutliche Rolle. Hier muss man sich also wirklich darüber bewusst werden, was für einen selbst in Frage kommt.▌► FAZIT ◄▐Ich persönliche habe im Hinblick auf unseren Audi A1 mit Halogen mit den Osram Nightbreaker den Mittelweg gefunden und bin ansich sehr zufrieden. Meiner Meinung nach die derzeit beste Lösung, das Licht allgemein aufzuwerten. Qualitativ, absolut legal, recht günstig im Preis und einem deutlich helleren und weißeren Licht als zuvor. Es hat sich also bei mir definitiv gelohnt. Man sollte einfach damit aufhören, sich so auf das Thema "XENON" zu versteifen und darauf zu hoffen, dass dies mit diesen Leuchtmittel möglich wäre. Das tut's einfach nicht - wieso und weshalb habe ich ausführlich erklärt.Wir sind jedenfalls mit den Osram Nightbreaker absolut zufrieden und das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. Am Tag sowie auch bei Nacht, egal ob mit oder ohne Regen, das Licht ist toll und deutlich besser, wie das alte. Anbei noch ein paar Fotos, unter anderem mit einem Vergleichsbild vor der Hauswand mit Vorher/Nachher, auf welchem man deutlich sieht, dass der gesamte Lichtschein nach dem Umbau deutlich kräftiger ist.Hat Ihnen meine Erfahrung weiter geholfen? Necesitaba unas lámparas para mi Honda Accord del 2008, ya que salía de vacaciones al día siguiente, elegí las Osram Night Breaker por la valoración de otros compradores y por la reputación de la marca. No me arrepiento para nada de su compra, dan una luz blanca excelente y tienen un gran alcance en carretera superior a las que traía el coche de fabrica, desde que las he puesto a penas tengo que usar las luces largas de largo alcance. El precio la mitad de barato que en cualquier comercio del ramo de mi ciudad. De momento no hay nada negativo de las luces, si a caso de mi coche que no se instalan con facilidad.El envío rapidísimo de un día para otro, y sin ningún problema.Veo bien, y es un punto a favor del fabricante, que a la hora de hacer el pedido, se insista mucho para que se compruebe correctamente el modelo de las lamparas que lleva nuestro coche para que no haya errores ni equivocaciones. Lo recomendaría sin dudarlo a todos los posibles compradores que necesiten este tipo de lamparas, y que anden indecisos.
