The led cover is a nice option that lights up the viewing window indoors and at night well. Don't forget to calibrate, clean after each use, and re-hydrate and clean before testing. Case latch could be a little better, but not a big pain point.

Don't waste money on the led light. It just causes the entire field to be blue and you won't see any line. It's a gimmick.Check packaging as well as it was not packed with any packing cushion. Luckily the box itself came with foam in its case and packaged well.The refractometer so far seems to work well and to be accurate. Easy to adjust and calibrate. Works as it should.

It was very nice and it’s really easy to use but it was off by a little bit out of the box. It wasn’t showing 0.000 with RO/DI water and it was reading 32ppt while using 35ppt calibration fluid. Thankfully, it was easy to adjust and have accurate readings. Just make sure you get the calibration fluid to be sure it’s spot on.

The led light is hard to keep on when using this product. I have to use regular light to see the levels. Switched to the normal cover that thank god it came with. Don’t buy the led version buy the regular version and save some money.

This is a great little tool and worth every penny. I don’t know why I used those plastic tools for so long. This is a lot less messy, cleaned with one wipe and stored in a nice plastic box.

I am impressed with the price and how well it reads accurately. I’m having a issue using the led in terms of reading the results. But I’m sure I just have to use it a little more. I will definitely refer to any hobbiest going into the saltwater world.

The led is deadApparently it came not working .... I followed all the instructions and still nothingAnd the glass is self looks hazy , like something wrong with itBut I’m yet to use the meter itselfLater in today I’ll get a new battery for the les of that what it takes to get the led working

This is above expectation. I bought this for my brother and friend. There work consists of measuring the quality of water (seawater) of the coastline in our country, Because of the limited resources in there lab (local) they were always guessing. So this is a good handy tool for them
