I loved the novel Legend. The greatest warrior of all time, defending the greatest fortress of all time, against the greatest army of all time, with a great love story and a great magic/religious system, what's not to love?When I saw that they had made a graphic novel out of Legend I really wanted it but most of the time it was listed at more that $100 on Amazon.When the price was finally right I got it and it is everything I wanted to be.

Love it. Amazing addition to my collection

For unknown reasons this book, which is the graphic novelization of the story, has been linked to the old UK paperback written novel version of Legend called "Against the Horde". Do not use the "buy used" links to purchase this thinking you are getting a great deal on the price, as you will get the other insteadThis is "David Gemmell's Legend, A Graphic Novel" adapted by Stan Nicholls to a comic book style format with artwork by Fangorn. I am sorry to say I don't own it to provide a proper review, although this story is one of my all time favorites; I just wanted to promote it for what it is and save others from a disappointing mistake.

Quite a rare find these days. This graphic novel is a retelling of David Gemmells Legend. I bought this for my girlfriend as she loves Gemmells work. As far as I can tell she enjoyed this too. After reading the novel and glancing over this graphic novel myself I found it hard to get into. Some of the characters don't look as they were described in the book even though a lot of the art work is great. I'm sure any hardcore Gemmell fan would love this but this wasn't for me personally.
