Top knotch
I purchased this to show scale of damage in photos (insurance adjuster). The matte black finish doesn't wash out my photos (ISO). It's quite stout for as thin & light as it is. The finish & markings are excellent.

Handy little rule, easy to read and appears sturdy.

Great for wordworking
I like the 2 scales, 8ths and 16ths, all I need for woodworking. The black background eliminates glare and makes the markings easy to read at any angle. These reasons make it better for my needs than the Shinwa 12" 4R Rigid another popular ruler. Be nice if Benchmark added a mounting hole.
