worked well for edging on sharp edge

Thicker than you think
Bigger than you think. Probably good if you need that size but too big for trim around a motorcycle molding

Tough enough to cover rough sharp edges
Used this the cover some alteration I made to the fender on my trailer. It made the results look much more professional and it's stayed on really well.

Weight rack edging
Our weight rack would make this awful sound every time you would put a weight back down on it. Metal on metal is just not a nice noise. I got this and put it on the edges of the rack and now there's no noise and it keeps the weights nicely snug. I like that it provides some cushion without being bulky. There's isn't any adhesive, which I like, but if you want that this is not a good product to choose. It seems like it would have several uses.

Car door edge protector
I got this to protect a car door edge. This is much beefier than that typical door protector you see installed by dealers. This one does not have any adhesive either. It just stays in place with friction. Old ones with adhesive fall off after a year or two. Hopefully this one stays on longer since there is no adhesive tape to fail.
