Works good, easy to set up.

This was the first Smart plug I ever purchased. So I didn't really know what to look for. So I ended up with this one. And boy did I regret it. First of all I learned that there is Bluetooth plugs, or WiFi plugs. And I should of gotten a WiFi, but got the Bluetooth. Ok but I still tried to make this work with my setup. I use Google home, through my Nest Mini 2nd Gen Smart speaker. Which this claims to work with.So I set it up, and realized that if I select to use it with a Google home speaker, it downloads a special firmware for Google only, and then it doesn't work anymore with the Sylvania app, or Alexa. But I figured that's ok cause I only use Google anyway. So I upgraded the firmware to make it compatible with the Google Nest speaker, it paired up, Worked fine for a while, but then every couple of hours it would stop working through Google, and show as offline in the Google home app, so I'd have to keep restarting it every few hours. Which means that if I'd be away from home and try to control it, It would not work most of the times cause it would be offline.I tried everything to troubleshoot it, including speaking to the very unhelpful Sylvania rep. but after a few days of it constantly not working from Google. I figured I just need a WiFi plug, I have no reason to be dealing with this Bluetooth only when I have a perfectly good Wi-Fi network.So I ended up ordering 2 wifi plugs, they work through the Smart life app, that I'm already using anyway for my AC and other devices. And those have been FANTASTIC! Stable steady connection, better app features like timers and schedules, etc etc. I'm loving those!This was a big hit n miss!! I'll be returning this one for a refund. Hugely disappointed with Sylvania, I was expecting a higher quality brand experience from them, but they didn't deliver at all. The Sylvania app offered nothing more than on\off, and it doesn't even work at all if you pair it to Google or Alexa Smart speaker.I'd recommend you stay away from this one. Even if you happen to need a Bluetooth plug, I'd say look for another brand. This one is just crappy

Using it in bluetooth only mode, takes a while to get the initial connection. Then works good for no wifi

I didn’t purchase this plug for the Alexa integration. The remote control from the app works well, but I think the app should allow you to set a schedule for the plug. That’s my only complaint.

The outlet works like a champ. I've tried several different brands and, so far, these work the BEST with Apple Home. They connect quickly, stay connected, and show up in Home every time (knock on wood). Highly recommend!!

I bought this to control a TV in my business' showroom. I do not have nor want Alexa. I bought what I thought was a good brand name in Sylvania. I chose it because it was supposed to work with Google Home. After wasting over an hour due to forced sign in and account verifications, turns out it does NOT work through Google Home. I don't even remember how I finally found the Sylvania app. After installing the app, it found the plug and did a firmware upgrade. I was able to control the plug for about a hour.I came in the next day and looked forward to using my new plug, and got an out of range error. I stood next to the plug (3 ft) and it still didn't work. The app has been trying to connect for two hours now, no luck. I tried forcing a re-pairing, still not connecting. I even tried unplugging everything from the wall and starting over. My Bluetooth settings sees the device, but will not pair to it.I have wasted 6+ hours and tons of aggravation on this junk. Not worth returning, shipping cost is more than the plug.Very Disappointed!!

Not easy to use

We had an issue of the Bluetooth connected to our home stereo/speakers always grabbing audio from our devices when we weren't wanting that (like your are using BT ear buds and suddenly the sound goes to the stereo instead)—prior to getting this smart outlet our only solution was to walk to the living room and powering off either the Bluetooth receiver or the stereo, but now we can easily keep the stereo powered off/on from our phones so that we're only getting audio over the wired speakers when we want it. Simple but effective.

Very easy to install and program and works well with my Apple mini HomePod very pleased I’ve purchased several and as I said, I’ve never had any problem, programming or installing if I need further this is what I would be buying! If you’re an iOS user, this is the product for us
