Rustic Weathered Reclaimed Wood Planks for DIY Crafts, Projects and Decor (20 pcs. Thin Planks - 3.5"x12"x.25)

Used this product for arts and crafts. The boards are distressed and give a rustic feel.

I used these wood planks for a couple of Christmas gift projects for family, and they looked so good that my family thought they were store bought (not bad for my first go around at this, eh?! Lol)! These wood planks were perfect for diy signage. For the above, I sanded them just a little bit (but not too much as i wanted to keep the natural grey weathering look), then I painted the lettering on (my vinyl printer helped in designing and making stencils for this), then I used dark wax around the edges and swept it across the words to somewhat mute the Chalky Chicks antique white chalk paint I’d used for the lettering. Then I topped it off with a few coats of polyacrylic and nailed some yarn to the back for hanging. Also, the wood pieces I wood glued to the back of the pallet to hold it together were the 6” pieces from Barnwood USA- the wood actually split on its own. And there are a lot of holes and bad blemishes in their wood versus this wood sold here by Rockin’ Wood. DON’T get the Barnwood USA wood over this for signage. I ended up using the Barnwood USA ones for the back pieces to hold my signs together, so I didn’t return them, but for the actual visual part of a sign, I highly recommend Rockin’ Wood’s wood over Barnwood USA’s wood.

I recently quit my job and was looking for some projects around the house to stay busy. I decided to build a shelf in my closet but didn’t want to spend too much since this was my first DIY project, and I wasn’t sure how it would turn out.I took a chance on these wood planks, and I’m so glad I did! They were super affordable, have a great rustic look, and were easy to cut with my bevel saw. As a total newbie, I had to pre-drill holes for the screws, but I’m sure a more experienced DIYer or carpenter wouldn’t have any issues.I love the color and plan to buy more for future projects! Highly recommend!

I like these a lot. Perfect for the rustic look I was going for. Wish they were a little bigger.

These were used for rustic-looking signs in the museum where I curate exhibits. They were perfect: just the right size, and the signage letters adhered well.
