Hikari Conversion Kit Foglight Canbus Error Free Anti Flickering Resistor Decoder - H7

Kind of works
I recently installed Hikari LED bulbs in my 2010 Volkswagen Passat. I knew I needed these so I ordered them at the same time as the bulbs. I tested without these at first, every few minutes the car would throw an error saying the bulb was dead (as expected). The light did not actually go out or ever flicker. After testing, I installed the LED Conversion Kit Headlight Canbus Resistors and I thought they were working great. That is until I hit the highway. The error started to pop up again but only for the front left dipped beam. It doesn't happen right away or on a consistent schedule but happens at least two to four times on my way to work (about a 25-minute drive).I love the look of the LED lights but don't want to deal with dash lights coming on. Debating if I want to return just the resistor or return everything and look at something else.

Both burned up after 2 days of use.
I initially bought theHIKARI LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit-H7, 2019 New Gen of HIKARI, Adjustable Beam, 9600lm 6K Cool Whitefor my 2008 BMW x3 E83 M Sport with HIDs to replace the inner H7 halogen bulbs on the daytime running lights (DRL). After install, I noticed a lot of flicker, and the bulb error light on the dash came on, so I figured I would buy these:HIKARI Pair LED Conversion Kit Headlight Canbus Error Free Anti Flickering Resistor Decoder - H7to reduce the flicker. After installing, they worked for approximately 2 days, then I noticed an electrical burning smell from the front of the car, and one of the bulbs went out, then the error light on the dash came on. When I popped the hood to check the resistors, I could hear a loud buzzing from one. As I removed them, I saw that BOTH had bubbled the plastic housing. I'm assuming the resistor inside blew out and expanded, but I didn't bother to rip them open to find out.I would not buy these unless you have insurance that will cover your car burning down from cheap Chinese resistors.I have attached a photo of the damaged parts.

Did Not Work on 2008 Subaru Outback
I purchased Hikari H7 headlights, 9005 high beam and 9006 fog lights for my 2008 Subaru Outback. When I turned the lights off, only the high beams flickered (technically they're turning on and off really fast). After researching, it seems that the flickering is either due to a lack of power or a failed communication between the cars computer and the electrical system for the headlights. I purchased three of the appropriate Hikari resistors - one set for the H7 bulbs, one set for the 9006 bulbs and another set for the 9005 bulbs. A few headaches and $60 later, I'm still in the same position. The high beams still flicker when I turn the lights off. To make matters worse, the resistor for the H7 headlights is a pain to install. There's a twist cap that goes over the headlight bulb so you have to drill a hole in the cap in order to get the wiring through. I'm certain they're installed properly because the bulbs won't turn on if they're connected wrong. If you purchase these and are attempting to install them with lights that have a twist cap over the bulb, do yourself a favor and make sure they work before drilling holes in the cap.

Box was pre opened, lamp looks used or refurbed.
Have not tried install as I am waiting for the anti flicker can use error decoder to arrive. A bit disappointed in quality.... Box was opened and one led driver and bulb assembly appears to be used or refurbished because it is scratched up and the driver clearly has oxidation spots where water had collected. Will not be purchasing again and won't be recommending to any friends or family. Should have purchased the Opt 7 instead. For your entertainment I have attached photos to see the differences between bulb assemblies and led driver's.

Way brighter than anticipated!
Put in a 2013 Audi. Was a little tight, but managed to fit. Went from barely being able to see the road to HID-like headlights. Totally worth it. What's not worth it - don't buy the "trim" rings. They were a direct fit for H7s.

bad investment and wasted time
I bought a h7 led hikari set to update the factory halogens, in advance I already knew I had a canbus system since I had tried with others. After installing the lights first I tried and everything ok, and he indicated the burned light signal, so install the hikari canbus, and the signal did not disappear, which for its weight and quality not if it carried something inside, therefore Now I have a led kit that gives me error and a canbus that does not work. In my case, the lights didn't blink before, so I don't know if it works in that case either.

No fit to BMW
The H7 units did not fit my 2006 BMW 530xi because there was no plug (to the bulb) just two wires with simple crimp-on type ends and no directions. The original BMW plug that attaches to the bulb is complex with four wires. Hikari has temporarily taken down their U.S. website for a rebuild, so no help there. No phone help desk was listed either. I will return both the decoders and the expensive Hikari LED units as well. Too bad I can't get the labor $ back too. I'm sure these are nice units for some cars. They are well made, but currently lack any access to help with installation. The Amazon help site was not useful this instance.

Flase advertising - does not work.
Installed on a 2009 BMW 323i, and it did not work. It still triggers the CAN-bus error on the dash which shows a light bulb icon. Purchased with the expectation that it would handle the CANBUS bullshyt as advertised, buy it failed in this regard. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR CANBUS CARS.

Bulky but it's a decent price
Didn't need to use it. It was a little bulky overall but it was cheap so no complaints. Returned it because I had no need for it since the lights I ordered Canbus errors built into them.

Do not cancel bulb out errors
Not enough resistance to cancel bulb out errors. Low quality crimp on spade connectors instead of an H7 plug.
