The media could not be loaded.  see the uploaded video for an example of 400x magnification on some pond water. no idea what it is but its clearly alive.pros:great microscope i was anle to see some creatures swimming in pond water at 400x.the image is clear up to 400x, moving stage is a really nice to have feature, coarse and fine focus works.having two eye piece means you can keep both eyes open which is really nice.the provided insect leg slide is useful for testing it out and learning how to use it.cons:the 25x eyepiece does not improve the resolution too much. i think they included it as a marketing tool. i think the objective power is the important part in a microscope not the overall power.the phone holder is hard to use. but no ig deal just buy another one.i want to buy some eyeguards for thjs but i cant find the right size for sale. not a big deal though.in summary i think they spend all the money on parts thay matters such as good optics, slide moving mechanism. in the end id rather have this good microscope with minimal accesories than a bad microscope with lots of accesories.

Edit to my original post.I have to start my review with why are you buying a microscope and the potential of using this microscope is pretty great the ability to snap your phone onto that little sticky pad and then snap photos once you finally got in the crisp screen is very nice in itself if you’re an artist looking for inspiration this definitely is something that will help you. I would recommend taking some simple things such as petals from a flower or really thin slices of something that you really enjoy in life and look at it under the microscope some of those things can be visually stunning now to the actual view itself.Originally I gave it 2 star however the replacement microscope was a vast improvement the issues I had with the first microscope were completely washed away the only issue I have now is that the control arms that hold the slide are jumping on top of the slide as you make micro adjustments with the axis Control knobs left right up down.The only reason I can’t give it a five star is just because five star should be reserved for something that is above the normal or above the standard and unfortunately this is just not above the normal microscope or above a standard microscope this is for the cost and what you can do a decent microscope.I would have to agree with some of the other comments that this is not a professional laboratory microscope there are small issues that you would only notice if you have ever used a professional microscope that using a lab and Environment compared to this one.Overall I would recommend this microscope to anyone looking to perhaps break into using a microscope this is definitely a starter microscope and something that you can use for a long time eventually upgrade into a professional one.Original post / review.Depending on the replacement I get on Monday I may change my review.I just received this microscope and it came exactly as I describe below.1. 1 of the eye viewer 25x magnification was dirty and a pain to clean.2. The 40x magnification is dirty on the inside, small specs of something, also a pain to try and clean.3. When I got the package the box was rattling, I didnt think anything of it as it could just be something small out of place. There were 2 screws not in place inside of the microscope. I had to open the base and screw the 2 loose screws in myself. Not a big deal but it didnt say I was going to have to put it together.4. The 10x magnification is also dirty inside.5. There is not a dust cover that comes with this, so you will need to use the plastic bag to cover it when not using it, as putting it back into the box will become old.6. It uses 3 double AA batteries, not a problem just specs.7. The phone holder is ok, nothing great takes a few seconds to get the phone in place, you will have to do this over and over each time you remove the phone.8. Your phone may not like the LED light shining into it, so you can turn the brightness down on the LED which is very nice feature.Other than the lenses being dirty the microscope is nice, I was able to see pretty ok at 40x + 25x = 1000 magnification, however due to the lenses being dirty it will give you a head ache trying to figure out whats the item you are looking at vs the dirt. Not sure if the QC process involves rubbing the lenses in someones dirty pocket but if that was the goal you hit the mark.Heres to hoping the replacement is better. If not its going back and will just spend more money and get something better.

Great microscope to use with children, family at home. Easy to focus, eye opticals are easily adjusted to accommodate different pupillary distances. The objective lenses are easily interchangeable and stays in place once clicked in place. The prepared slides that are included clearly show cells and characteristics of the specimen, the details on the fly leg with the hairs and claw was very neat. Also included were the onion skin slide (with great staining to see the cells) and pine stem with nice visualized growth rings. There are extra glass slides to prepare your own slides, no slide covers though. Slide case is included. Would highly recommend for the price.

Small size, probably for young kids only. Lens quality is poor, and led light is weak, especially the overhead the lens and barely has any usage

me encanto el material es liviano y resistente en pocos minutos ya estabamos observando con los diferentes lentes cumplio ampliamente mis espectativas lo recomiendo me encanto y a mi hijo mucho mas

Works great. Until it doesn’t. The dials for move the base if different directions kept on jamming an the end pieces kept falling off. Tried to tighten it stoll the same issue. Then the dials stopped moving the base altogether. Used it for a few days an literally feel apart. It’s to bad when it was working it was nice.

El microscopio se ve muy bien pero le pusimos pilas nuevas y no logramos que encendiera ninguna de las dos luces, le quite lo que protege a las luces LED ( solo girando) para ver si podía cambiarlas, por si estaban fundidas... Y si no tendremos que pedir reembolso, marque a los teléfonos de la caja pero dicen no disponible, para poder contactar al vendedor y tampoco
