Good but not that good
Recently bought a can crusher (st@llion) only to find out that you need a crash helmet to avoid a head injury from the cans flying out the unit when you go to crush them. I did buy a brilliant quality unit (made in England) years ago which was still working perfectly but in my recent move mistakenly left it behind:-(Unfortunately not available anymore. I can only assume it was such good quality they put themselves out of business as you only ever had to buy one. My wife spent some time looking at other units and found this promising unit. The pro points is that it is a sturdy unit and with the lips on the top and bottom plates prevents the can from going anywhere. Now the bad points. Firstly I was hoping the holes would line up with the recently fitted unit but unfortunately not. This is obviously not a product fault but just to let you know you may need some additional drilling. Big problem!! they supply 4 very large rawl plugs, so large holes in your brickwork and a separate pack of screws which a far too small for the rawl plugs. In fact you can just push the screws straight in except for the last 3mm which leaves very little to secure the unit to the wall. Obviously had to supply my own screws for this. Secondly when trying to use the unit it would jam half way down so had to soak it in WD40 to get it it to work correctly. With this done the unit works superbly, however when the supplier spouts out how good this unit is they seriously need to address some basic issues to make the product match their claims. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Well that's a difficult one. It is undoubtedly a good can crusher but has issues that need to be addressed. If they do this then I'm sure it would get five stars every time. I've given it 4 stars which is a bit generous but it does deserve more than three.

Great
Great can crusher solid build.Little effort required to compress aluminium cans, my wife can easily use it.Contrary to the advert on Amazon the supplied instructions give steps to enable the crushing of tin food cans

Works and crushes life out of a can!
My husband seemed to have a penchant for somewhat aggressively crushing cans before depositing them into the recycling. Due to this habit, and a distinct lack of any ideas for Christmas presents - he got a can crusher this Christmas!Turns out to be one of his favourite presents ever! (Slight inditement of my present buying skills)...It is sturdy in itself, when attaching to wall I used longer screws than supplied. I also followed the advice to get some car grease stuff for the visible sliders in order to ease the motion, which made a good difference.Definitely recommended for those of you looking to buy (him) something that he hasn't actually got or has already bought for himself (or herself indeed)! (Gender is really irrelevant, mostly it is about finding an illusive present for someone who has practically everything already).

Great crushed duse the job.
Great product dose what it says on the tin seem to be good quality and crushes alloy can lovely I think it's old saying you get what you pay for there are cheaper one out there but I went for this one because of the longer handle and the lip on the top & bottom of the crusher so the alloy can don't slip out crushed all of our alloy can nicely so far.
