I’ve recommended this product to several friends and they in turn have ordered one too.

These look like they will work great. I had some cheap flimsy metal ones that can’t lift hardly any weight. These will lift huge logs in the fire. It will also work as a great fire poker. The teeth on the jaws on this will grip the wood. Others like this have no teeth and do not look as good. The only bad thing so far, since I haven’t used them in a campfire yet, is the company will not get any free advertising. My tongs did not come with the company logo printed on the center black section of the tongs! So send me another set with the logo and I’ll make sure you get plenty of free advertising! Can’t wait to use it this weekend for Labor Day.

The tongs are a bit unwieldy but they do the job.

I love these tools for our fire pit. The length makes it’s easy for my kids to assist with picking up logs and put them in the fire.

Heavy duty great for outdoor use

I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT THE PRODUCT WAS IN PIECES AND NEEDED TO BE ASSEMBLED (BOLTS NEEDED TO CONNECT THE WOOD HANDLES TO THE METAL PIECE....AND MORE BOLTS TO CONNECT THE METAL PIECE TO THE PLASTIC LOOK CLAWS). THERE WAS ONE PIECE THAT WAS USED TO HAVE THE HANDLES CONNECT LIKE A SCISSORS...THAT WAS DIFFICULT TO SCREW AND ALMOST FELT LIKE THE TOOL WAS GOING TO BREAK SO I STOPPED.THE HANDLES ARE FAR FROM COMFORTABLE AND IT DOESN'T FEEL STURDY. I PERSONALY WOULD NOT PURCHASE THIS AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND IT.

I saw some reviews about folks returning them because they arrived without assembly instructions. I think that is great. If you need instructions for something this simple you shouldn't be playing with fire.As for the tool, the fit and finish is very good. Especially at this price point.The Jaws will let you grab a 10" log but at 30 some inches away you gotta be pretty strong to handle a log that big. But who the heck is really trying to burn a 10" log in a fireplace or backyard fire ring. Okay, maybe the same idiot that needed instructions to put it together.Bottom line is that I like how it's not going to rust and collapses for easy storage.

The fire poker handle spins which limits it use when trying to maneuver logs and embers in the fire.
