The Sea-Wolf and Selected Stories (Signet Classics)

What a great story. I really enjoyed this. One of my best reads in a while. It takes a few pages to get used to the older writing style but well worth it.

Read Call of the Wild and White Fang a while back and recently stumbled upon this. Coming to the end of it and I must say, it's even better that the previously mentioned titles. It's great to experience Jack London's brilliance in a human-based scenario. The characters are well-mapped, and entertaining; especially The Sea Wolf. London gave him a physical, mental, and emotional makeup that really stirs up thought and presents an outlook on life and living it that challenges what I think most people hold to be true and right.

excellent topic to read

Awesome book. They should really make a movie about this book. It's a great adventure thriller and if you love the thought of sailing through treacherous seas and the crew dynamic within these ships, this is the book for you.

Great entertaining stories, crazy to think London had gone through similar situations as a fisherman. A great look into the past. The short stories were great too.

I thought it was a normal story but when i read it it turned into a really great mix between story and philosophy

This is one of those books that you just can't put down. It's a wonderful tale by a great author.

I've read some other jack London which were great but this just seems to be alright... Basiclly buy this if you want to read 150 pages out of 300 describing the captain.. I feel like I know wolf larson more than I know my wife it's rediculous... You will know what his skin looks like what his beard looks like what he wears everyday in the novel what he is thinking at ten min intervals thru out the day... The story just goes on and on about wolf... But never really telling any kind of story

Enjoyed the story, good bedtime reading.

Very Good book itself, with a delightful language and story, which is peppered with personal thoughts of the main character embodying the author.What is more, the book is endowed with notes and a very good introduction by Ben Bova witch is realy interesting.Nothing to say about delivery, timely and conform.
