This book is excellent! It's very well-written and logically organized. Brian Hanks literally lays out a roadmap of the steps you need to take in order to buy a dental practice (something not taught in dental school, unfortunately) and he does it in a concise and entertaining way. I've recommended this book to all of my dentist friends and referenced it many times when I was evaluating potential practices to associate with. No matter what point you're at in your career path, If you're in the market for a dental practice you should read this book!

This a succinct and thorough guide that is a must read for any dentist thinking of making a career transition into ownership. My regret is not finding this resource and Brian Hanks' podcast sooner. This objective and unbiased book answers my ownership questions as they come to mind. I feel much more prepared for acquisition knowing that I have this as a reference.

He thoroughly breaks down the different aspects of the process, and after finishing the book, I now feel more comfortable with what to expect, what to inquire, and how to approach each stage of the process.As an added bonus, throughout the book, Brian offers to help you with recommendations for attorneys and lenders if you send him an email. Brian is true to his word. Not only does he provide names, but he sends introduction letters to facilitate your first contact with his recommendations. Brian and his book are excellent resources. For anybody considering buying a dental practice, this is a must-read before you take the first step.
