Easy to use and reliable
I tried to "save money" by purchasing a cheaper model first. But it had only 2 attachments, low suction, and was extremely difficult to empty and replace the dust bin. So, I did what I should have done first--bought a Dyson, like this one. Now I have something easy to use and worth using. Perfect for cleaning up a small mess or cleaning the whole house. A charged battery lasts longer than I would ever need to use it, whether in the house or in the car. The seller delivered it quickly and as estimated.

Great Cordless but short battery life.
The media could not be loaded. I really love my Dyson. But two glaring mistakes stick out with this one. First, the battery dies FAST! We thought it was too fast and even had Dyson send us a replacement- nope. Just dies fast is all. You'll get about 30 minutes on reg power and about 15 on high. Then, it takes like 3 hours to charge.Second? The design of the wall hanger is weird. Every time we hang up to charge we have to really give it a good push and it's gotten to the point that tie cord is now permanently bent. Hopefully we dont meed to replace in a year.Other than that, the suction is SUPERIOR to anything else on the market, which is I guess what we pay for. So, I'm still happy I bought it, but a longer battery life and less charging time would definitely be helpful.

Very low quality for this money, very bad and useless support team, worst experience in my life :)
Nightmare with Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum CleanerI want to share my frustrating experience with Dyson here—maybe someone from their team will see it.I bought a Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner on Amazon in early July. One month in, it stopped charging, and the dust container jammed. I contacted Dyson support, sent it in for repair, and was told it was fixed within two days. They asked me to pick it up from their service center, which is very far from me. I asked if they could send it back to me, and they said they'd check with the repair center and get back to me within a couple of days—no one ever did. After two days, I followed up, and they gave me the same response. By the third time, they said it had been sent out four days ago (without notifying me), but I missed the delivery because I was at work. It was returned to the service center. I called Dyson again, explained my situation, and they sent it again (so they said), providing a tracking number. After a week, there were still no updates. I contacted the service center, and they told me it wasn't their responsibility anymore; I needed to contact UPS.UPS informed me that the package was lost in transit. I reached out to Dyson support again, even speaking to a supervisor, who promised it would be resolved within a week—and if not, they'd send me a new machine (another false promise). A week later, Dyson said UPS had found the machine and would return it to the service center, after which they'd send it back to me. Two weeks passed with no updates. When I followed up, Dyson told me UPS still hadn’t delivered the machine to their service center. After asking for a supervisor again, I was suddenly told I needed to pick it up from the service center in Plainview, NY—where it had apparently been sitting all this time! When I asked them to ship it to me, they claimed they don’t ship cordless machines anymore, even though they did so just a month ago.Despite escalating to a supervisor once again, I’m still waiting for my vacuum.

Be prepared to modify
I purchased this vacuum for my hair salon. I was looking for a cordless option, lightweight, and very powerful.I've had this vacuum for just over a month and here's the pros and cons.Pros.It REALLY sucks. It has a great suction to it, making vacuuming up rouge hair and dirt almost addictive. I like how it comes apart to empty the dust collection, and I really think it's designed to be lightweight- although I'll come back to that in the cons.I love the option to hang it on the wall for storage and charging(this is NOT a free standing vacuum)- will circle back to that in the cons as well!.It comes with 3 different attachment that are easy to change. They are on the smaller side, but honestly I like them for vacuuming out the furnace vent cover, or getting hair out of the salon chairs/dryer chairs.I also like to use it for a quick vacuum in the vehicles when they are looking gross. Now for the Cons. The biggest, most frustrating part of this vacuum is the dang battery life. Upon initial purchase, I fully charged the vacuum. I was very patient with making sure it was charged so I could get an idea of battery life.Boy was I so disappointed. The battery barely lasted for 1/4th of the salon. And I'm not vacuuming up piles of hair. This is for once a week use, maybe touchup on the waiting area use. I'm not dilly dallying around vacuuming. Ixm there to clean and move on woth my lifemThe original battery is terrible.Fortunately they make battery adapters for RIDGED and Ryobi batteries. I purchased one for the RIDGED off of Ebay. With that i still have to use a HuGE battery for it, which adds to the weight, and now with the new battery adaptor it will not hang on the cute charging/storage hanger. The trigger is also one that has to be manually held, so their is some fatigue after doing the entire salon. With all of this being said, I do love it (with the adapter and large battery) for the salon. It does a great job, but please be ready to make some modifications if you do decide to purchase this vacuum.

Awesome vacuum!!!
This is a great vacuum! I waited to post acreview because I wanted to really get some use out of it to make an opinion & this is the best vacuum I ever bought. Very light weight. The battery last very long and it is very powerful. Also super simple to empty. I have recommended this vacuum to several people since I bought it. Great purchase!
