When all you need on your trail run is water and an extra layer, the rev 1.5 is the right tool for the job. Designed for ultimate all-day comfort, the suspension system is based around osprey's innovative bio stretch body wrap harness and hip belt system. Dual chest straps maintain load stability and the breathable mesh back panel provides ventilation and a soft, irritation-free contact surface. Access the main compartment via a zippered panel. Inside, a slash pocket secures valuables. Outside, a front panel bungee provides compression and a place for a bulky layer. Two stretch mesh body belt pockets provide additional storage options. Inside the pack's separate hydration sleeve, you'll find a 2.5 liter hydraulics lt reservoir with magnetic bite valve for sipping on the go. Built-in baffles in the reservoir reduce barreling and sloshing to minimize the chances of chafing over the course of a long day on the trail. And should that long day turn into a long night, the graphics are reflective to enhance your nighttime visibility. A weatherproof Digi flip media pocket drops down from the shoulder harness for quick access to your device. It is removable when you want to disconnect and fully engage with nature and the sound of your breath.

Perfect running companion
I've only taken it out twice, but so far I'm really impressed with this pack. It's very sturdy, well made, and comfortable to wear, and it has storage where I need it. It does not bounce or slide while I'm running, and it doesn't leave me with any chafed spots. There really isn't anything I would change about this pack. Before this pack, I had run with a hand held bottle (annoying and not enough fluid for a long run), a waist pack (so annoying that I almost tore it off and threw it in the bushes, and not enough fluid for a long run), my husband's military hydration vest (entirely too big and rubbed a hole in my shoulder, but at least I wasn't thirsty), a women's Nathan hydration vest (a bit too small, made my shoulders/neck ache, and super unflattering straps above and below my boobs), and finally an Orange Mud bottle holder (comfortable to wear, but not enough fluid for a long run). After all of these fails and wasted money, I am so relieved to find something this great.I spent a couple days debating between the two sizes and the colors. I finally went with the grey in a Med.Large. I'm sure the small would probably have been fine, but I didn't want to risk it after my experience with the Nathan pack. I also wanted the larger bladder because I like to load up with ice. I am 5'6 with a full medium build and it fits very comfortably. My husband is 6'2 and a very large build. It fits him fine and he said it felt comfortable (though he hasn't run with it) The straps are easy to adjust, and thankfully do not sit at an awkward place on my chest. I don't need much storage for my runs, so the pockets on the front are perfect for some orange slices, chews, gels, and my key. The phone holder is cool, but as I have discovered the wondrous world of Skirt Sports (skirts that have pockets in the shorts) I don't need it. If I did need it, I would likely find it annoying because it's a pretty tight space. The bladder, hose, and mouthpiece also seem to be sturdy and good quality. I will say, though, I didn't give it a very thorough wash before I took it out, and I regretted it. There was terrible chemical taste, so you'll definitely want to do more than slosh some water around. There isn't a separate sleeve in the pack, so if you are going to use the main compartment for more storage you may need to put in a towel in case of any sweating.I know you can find packs for less $$$ out there but they do appear to be a much lower quality than you get with this one. I think this pack could easily stand up against a Camel Bak or other high end vest making this one a great value.

Great size backpack, almost great features
Overall, the backpack is awesome and it seems well built. I use it for long runs and obstacle course racing. I think the size of the bag itself is perfect and it holds any bars, phones, gels, leg braces, etc that I need to fit in it.However, it is definitely not a perfect pack:1) I wish it was slightly more comfortable / easier to tighten when worn. Even at the tightest, I find the bag moves side to side and up and down on my back. And when I have it that tight, I notice it restricts my chest movement making it difficult to breathe.2) My phone (iPhone 6+) does NOT fit in the handy quick access technology pocket on the left strap, which makes accessing my screen mid-run a big task.3) I have drained this pack on two separate runs / hikes, so I wish it held slightly more water. Granted, I'm a big guy and drink a lot during physical activity (and it was super hot on both days), but I would rather carry extra water than not enough.4) Related to 3. The bag is EXTREMELY difficult to refill mid-race. You have to unclip, take off the pack, unzip, unhook the hanger from the top, slide off the clamp, flip up the top, and then hold open the mouth of the bag before you can add water and then repeat all those steps in reverse. This takes a lot of time and is very hard to do one handed (which you have to do if you are holding a big jug in your other hand). Comparatively, I saw a bunch of people with Camelback bags who were much faster and less awkward with their process.

Great pack for all sizes.
Previously I owned the Nathan Firecatcher vest which I used for my long runs. However, the two front straps went above and below the breast area, causing it to look like I had the girls on display. No amount of strap adjustment would fix this. So I purchased the Osprey Rev 1.5 pack as some of the customer pictures showed both straps above the breast area. The pack fits perfectly! I'm not sure about the other reports saying it's way to small for the petite measurements given. I'm 5'9", and NOT small and the pack fit me quite well. I actually cinched up the straps quite a bit for a snug fit. The pack stays where it is, which I love. I prefer the water bladder to the canteens in the front pockets like my previous vest. It makes it super easy to grab the hose and take a drink as opposed to trying to pull out a bottle, pull up the cap, drink, and then have to use both hands to maneuver the bottle back in the vest. There are plenty of pockets for storage of phone, keys, wallet, nutrition, and extra layers. The only con is the pocket that is especially made for a phone will not fit any of the larger phones. I have an iPhone 6s Plus and it will not fit. However I just store the phone in the top back pocket and either Bluetooth to my headset, or use corded earbuds and leave pocket partly unzipped for the cord. Phone has never fallen out and works quite well.I definitely recommend this for anyone who doesn't want to have to carry water bottles in their hand or wear a fanny pack to hold their stuff.
