HP Laserjet Pro 4001n Black & White Printer, Print, Fast speeds, Easy Setup, Mobile Printing, Advanced Security, USB, Ethernet Connection, Best-for-Office

Got this installed by my IT guy yesterday! It works so smoothly and quickly! There doesn’t seem to be any lag time communicating with my AIO computer (also an HP!). It takes my checks the same way my last printer did and though my old non-HP one served me well for 13+years, it is nice to be up with technology and a good working model! This is just black and white, which is all I need since I have a big color copier when needed for that. It is a nice compact size and has the functions you would basically need for everyday printing!

Connected it to power, connected an ethernet cable to the home network, turned it on and connected to the PC and printed flawlessly. Didn't try Wi-Fi. Quite possibly the easiest setup and the fastest results I've seen in a long time. Print quality is great and well. It's a tad bit loud when printing but a great printer for the price.

Good for a single user office printer.

Works well, however for nonstandard material like card stock, you need to make setting changes via the tiny menu screen with very difficult navigation... My 32 year old HP laserjet didn't care what was loaded, it just took it without complaining! If the software of your Mac is earlier than "compatible", it will still work fine except that certain features are not available like draft quality and possibly duplex if you have that version printer. Use good quality paper. The cheapest paper might crease and present issues. The tiny display has a blinking icon that is not the paper level, but rather the toner level. I guess it blinks because this aspect is HP's future revenue stream! It comes with a starter cartridge that will run out quickly. Advertising is deceptive regarding exactly what cartridge version is included.

PROs - Fast Delivery - Great price - HP makes good printers CON's - DOA - HP's website shows the the serial number only had 9 months warranty left on a 1 year warranty when it arrived, was told by HP support on a call that warranty clock starts when it arrives in amazon whse. Who knows if you will have any warranty on a HP product based on that process. - HP repair process is to swap a refurbished unit in place of a new unit or they take on month to ship a new one - Amazon policy is not to replace electronics, that means you can return it but the $90 off sale price is no-longer available Summary, I will not purchase HP from amazon again, but I still plan to get a HP printer

This printer was extremely easy to set up and it prints quickly and beautifully. The only drawback that I have with it is that it shuts completely off overnight and I have to remember to turn it back on in the mornings. Print is very clear and good quality. It is also very quiet compared to other printers that I have had in the past.

Unexpectedly good for a new generation HP printer. Worked right away and no confusing features or mysterious errors.

After only buying HP printers for 20 years, I am absolutely done with them. I cannot print on both sides of the paper unless I use their app which does not work. I used to like HP because you could print immediately after opening it up and plugging it in. This piece of garbage will be replaced with something that does work without playing trouble-shooting all day when I should be fricken printing! All this so that they can control YOUR printer to ensure you buy their supplies. Greedy, stay away.
