Fast, easy installation and great software support
Excellent drive, fast read and write speeds and is very easy to install. The Samsung Magician software suite (downloaded from their website) was able to copy my existing Windows install and clone it to this new drive with a few simple clicks, and after about 30 minutes from start to finish I had this drive installed with my operating system clones and working perfectly. System Boot speed is much faster compared to my old SATA SSD and I am very happy with the extra storage space for Windows updates and other software.

Huge Performance Boost with the 2TB Version
I got the Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD to upgrade my laptop, and I couldn’t be happier with the performance boost. Installation was easy, and my system recognised it immediately. If you’re upgrading from an HDD or an older SSD, you’ll notice a huge difference in speed.Boot times are almost instant, apps load much faster, and file transfers are really quick. I mainly use my laptop for gaming and work, and this SSD has made everything much smoother and more responsive. The PCIe 4.0 speeds really stand out, and Samsung’s Magician software makes it easy to monitor and optimise performance. One thing to note is that it can run a little warm, so if your laptop doesn’t have great cooling, keep an eye on temperatures. It’s also on the pricey side, but considering the speed, reliability, and storage capacity, I think it’s worth it.Overall, if you’re looking for a high-speed, high-capacity SSD upgrade, the 2TB Samsung 990 Pro is an excellent choice

This SSD is lightning fast, with read and write speeds that make load times practically disappear. Games launch in an instant, textures load seamlessly, and everything just feels buttery smooth. The installation was a breeze – plug it in, secure it with a screw, and you’re good to go.

Expensive but fast!
Excellent ssd that is far superior to hdd drives. Even faster than my 870 evo. Have bought two of these one is installed in my pcie slot and has sped up my system massively! Why the lost star? Cos I really don't understand why the hell they don't supplied a fixing screw! For a product of this quality, you would at least expect a way to fix it in! You wouldn't buy a car without a key, you wouldn't be able to use it. Same here, without that fixing screw, you can't use the drive!

Don't forget to Convert the disk
No issues with this product, works exactly how I wanted. Capacity matched, speeds match etc. Would say that if you are using Windows 10/11 you may need to convert to GPT if you want to use it as a boot drive. If you're installing windows on this then it can be done in seconds from Command Prompt when installing. Will consider buying another!

You're going to need..
These are fast drives.Mine came with the updated (3B2QJXD7) firmware already applied. Manufacturing production date was end of May 2023. This was 2 months prior to the purchase date, so these are confirmed new stock not the older drives with bad firmware.Installation was easy enough. The drive comes in a box a little wider than a phone, with a slip out plastic tray with the drive held in that. No m.2 screw or mini screwdriver is included. Make sure you've got the one that came with your motherboard, or order another. You'll also need a micro screwdriver for the screw as they're very small. Depending on your motherboard and GPU setup, you may also need to move the GPU to access the m.2 slot to install. Some motherboards (thankfully) are now starting to use clips for the drive rather than screw stand offs. After installation, the BIOS picked up the drive on power on. If you're doing a clean install of Windows, you can continue as normal. Otherwise, Samsung do offer two tools to help move your existing Windows install to the new drive. These are Samsung Data Migration and Samsung Magician. As the name suggests Data Migration will allow you to clone your existing drive to the new one so you can boot from it. It works really well, but may take some time if you're moving directly from a Harddisk to NVMe M.2.The Samsung Magician gives you some additional information about the drive and allows you to resize some dead (unused) space on the drive to help prolong the life span of the drive. It's only really needed if you're writing a large amount of data constantly to the drive with it near full. But it's a nice feature never the less.I've got two of these drives and they're on a 10Gig network and are heavily hit and not had any issues with heat, so you probably don't need a heat sink. The price of the drive with an heat sink is a little excessive if you do want one. Check other listings on amazon for aftermarket heatsinks that clip on in the same way... but again depending on your motherboard it may already include a heatsink for the m.2 slot.Overall, a really nice purchase if you want very fast read/write speeds with a large amount of space.
