Chung Jung One Korean Sweet Potato Glass Noodle, 3.5 Oz

Do not purchase this through Amazon. Their price is outrageous. You can get this in your local supermarket for $ 3.59. This is a wonderful product. It cooks in about 12 minutes in boiling water. It acts like regular spaghetti but it is light since it is sweet potato. It has none of the heavy calories or starch--great if you like to eat light and still have regular spaghetti. I've tried spaghettis from all sorts of beans and they are good too but this holds it's shape and is easy to cook and so much lighter to eat than the others. This is really a trad Asian product since they use it in cold salads also since it is a glass noodle--turns to see through--so much fun. So you can also put it in salads or all kinds of dishes. I adore this product since it is so healthy.

The Chung Jung One Korean Sweet Potato Glass Noodles are a quite interesting switch from the classic rice or wheat noodles.The noodles are slightly translucent once cooked, have a nice chewiness, but they are pretty flavorless (I can't tell if they are really made from sweet potato). They easily take the flavor of the other ingredients.Following the package instructions yields the best results; definitely don't skip the rinsing after cooking. The noodles are good both hot and cold, they don't get too mushy heated, nor too hard once entirely cooled (great for meal prep). They do get slippery, but that's part of the eating experience.The price on Amazon Fresh is also ridiculously low, I think I got them several times for $1.32.

I used these to make classic japchae which is time consuming but very worthwhile. I used Beyond steak pieces instead of meat because I'm vegetarian and it worked very well for this dish. The noodles themselves were tasty, cooked up easily per package instructions and were even better the next day. I do suggest marinating them instead of just cooking them in the sauce because they absorb the flavor better that way.

I love these noodles. I like that they're made from sweet potato so they're great for my dietary issues, but they don't taste like sweet potatoes (if that's a concern). I love that they're transparent. I love that they're chewy. I love that they're exactly the noodles I want when I eat Japche. They cook quickly and mix with every kind of vegetable I've used in both stir-fry dishes and Japche. It's a really good price for them, too.

I bought these noodles as s sub for rice vermicelli noodles for Viet Namese fresh spring rolls. This was my first try at making these rolls and my first time using these types of noodles. I was pleasantly surprised my rolls came out great! Glass noodles don't have a flavor, they take on the aromatic flavors of the other items in your recipe. And they do look like thin glass rods.

Didn't like the slimy texture. Won't buy again.

I expected to be receiving more than one package for $24. The amount of noodles provided was enough for one meal, this product is way over price. I am disappointed because I actually did enjoy the noodles.
