Well Built, Works As Advertised
Nice set of calipers. They have worked well for me. I use them for measuring thickness and depth of various materials in projects I am working on. They are not a scientific precision instrument where critical measurements are required, but for my everyday use they are more than accurate enough and at a fraction of the cost. This is a metal construction with well machined calipers. You can measure outside, inside and depth. The digital readout is easy to read and can read to 10,000ths in., 100ths mm, and inch fractions. It comes with a precision Philips screwdriver and a replacement battery (LR44/AG13). It comes in a blow-mold plastic case to protect it when in your tool bag/box.It has been a great addition to my tool kit. It has worked very well for me so far and at the current sale price $24.97, it's a good value.

This is a damn good caliper (for the price)
This is a really well made caliper. I tested repeatability by zeroing out and moving it back and forth and back to stop (even very vigorously) and it holds position perfectly. Even if you turn it off and move it, it wakes up and continues to hold position (no need to re-zero after it's set).I measured the accuracy of the main (OD) surfaces with a micrometer calibration pin and it measures 1" perfectly (1.0000).I have not measured the ID accuracy since I don't have a good calibrated ring but that's a hard measurement to get with a caliper anyway. One method that is not perfect is the depth gauge at the bottom. If I set the caliper on a flat surface and bottom out the long metal part used for depth measurement, it moves 0.007 until it bottoms out (flush with the surfaces). This is easy to remedy if you need an accurate measurement since you can zero it out when flush with the table and then continue to measure the depth.Overall, this is extremely impressive for the price. I had to add some lube to make things move freely and sort of work them a bit to get a smooth action but now it's awesome!I will probably replace most of my calipers with this model.

Superb...except for battery compartment
Love this tool! Accuracy, display options including fractions, everything you could want. But the battery compartment is held closed by two ~minute~ screws. We're not talking eyeglass size screws but wristwatch size. Difficult even to pickup not to mention fitting into place. Inconvenient but manageable with great care. My fear is that I will drop one of them -- there is history behind this fear -- and never find it. I would have no idea where to get a replacement unless the manufacturer would supply them. Maybe from Amazon but how do you size a screw that is so small; it is very difficult even to pick up off a flat surface. I really hate to ding this great instrument a star over such a peripheral issue, but it is a major concern to me. You may be prudent enough to keep a spare battery in the case, but that just temps you to try to replace it "on-site" rather than at a well-lit workbench where you will probably be ok (if it doesn't roll off onto the floor). (I have dropped much larger screws than these and never found them!)

Addition of measuring fractions of an inch is a huge time-saver
They feel like quality and every time I close them, they rest at 0.000, so no discernable play (yet). I like that the battery door is held on with a screw.I try to mostly work in metric, but I live in the US, so I still get plenty of imperial units. Common conversions are easy enough in my head, but things I measure with these, ability to see both with the push of a button is critical (fortunately, probably every set of digital calipers can do this). What I hadn't realized until buying these is how much I wanted the ability to see the nearest common fraction (it goes down to x/128 but a slight nudge gets you to x/32 or x/16 as needed). This is really nice when you're working with imperial drillbits or screws and have a lot in your head at the moment and don't want to risk losing focus to do the conversion.I just got mine, so I'll update if they fail (or fail to be accurate) in the next year or so and it's not due to my misuse (I bought them to replace a set I dropped one too many times, it sucks to be clumsy). FWIIW, my old ones broke at the battery door (that did not screw into place), so I am hoping to get more time out of these 😃

Caliper
In the past I've owned calipers they worked but the main body is plastic, the battery cover did not fit so I had to put tape on ir.now this rexit came yesterday, as of now I'm impressed with the quality. Solid and the battery cover has screws to hold it in..good job

Great for small machine work and checking tolerances.
I must say I am pretty impressed by this little caliper so far. I have used this to measure head bolts on a Mazda engine The caliper has 3 different measurements but I mainly use mm and inches. it goes down to .01mm inaccuracy so it is perfect for checking most tolerances in engines. It has a nice thumb adjustment that I was easily able to slide and check the bolts. it has a screw on the top to lock in measurement and even without that, you have to try to move it to get it to change it stays in place pretty well. Buttons for changing options and on-off have a nice feel to them so you know you have pressed them. The body is what feels like a full aluminum so it has a nice weight to it and also fits very nicely in the carrying case that came with it. Mine came with an extra battery and a screwdriver to change it out though the screwdriver doesn't fit in the case like I think it should. All in all, I am very impressed by such a budget-friendly product having an almost premium feel to it. I think this will serve me well for a few years to come.

Good quality, accurate, repeatable.
Good quality, accurate, repeatable, smooth and nice balanced feel. Good value for the money. I have a six inch Mitutoya dial caliper for machinist work but saw dust can mess up the rack and pinon gear, so I purchased these for wood working. Now I think these are good enough for machinist work too. I like that I don’t need to turn them on to use, just move the head and they automatically turn on and you don’t need to zero them out every time, they continue were they turned off. I have been using them for a few weeks and I am very happy with my purchase.
