This is a great follow-up to the original Real Meal Revolution book.It cleared up a few things and re-enforced the information I have been reading about Banting, sugar and how we have been brain-washed about carbs and fat.I went to the Banting life-style on the recommendations of my family doctor. He had me read about the dangers of sugar and how it is in almost everything we eat. After that he had look into Banting before actually suggesting I give it a try.It has been over 2 years...I have lost 15 lbs, my wheat belly (Ha! Ha!), I feel unbelievably well & fit.I'm off my Statins medication &...in fact I'm off all my medications! (Not that I was on a lot.)The low carb & high fat diet has changed my life!My joints don't hurt, my leaky gut is gone, I don't have heart palpitations any more.I feel and look younger then my age! (63)

Excellent summary
I have read a number of books on this approach played with it on and off for the past several years. (Lost about 30 lbs over 3 years ...Paleo) This book provides excellent summary and approach and it includes the caveat that for some of us this is a lifelong commitment. ( A point I failed to take into account.) For the most part I have been able to keep the weight off but still have 50 pounds to go to meet their criteria which seems reasonable to me.Excellent addition is the goal planning section as well as breaking the phases into components. (Stages)The only other suggestion I would have made is the option of including measurement activities for glucose and ketones.One last note… Because of it's South Africa origins the measurements are in the metric system....which I suppose with Google it's not too hard to translate. However, it does pose an intermediate step.

Important read to understand HOW TO achieve Banting/Keto/LCHF diet.
I read this just after I read the first book and I would recommend this to anyone interested in the more nitty gritty details of the Banting Diet. The 2.0 version adds more information and another dimension to the first book. For example, the 2.0 version clears up the fact that:1. At the beginning, your diet will look a little more like a higher protein diet if you need to lose a lot of weight. You want to burn your own fat first instead of using dietary fat.2. High fat doesn't mean a fat eating spree.3. Don't add even more fat to your diet if you have more fat to lose. You will be eating much more fat as you begin to lose weight.4. It states HOW TO achieve Banting properly in phases.5. The updated food lists are important too.

#1 book about what we should and should not eat for a lifetime of good health.
This book has shoved aside most others in my huge collection of so-called health-related books.Now I understand why my health has been so poor until now...75 years.

picked this up on a recommendation. Its ok, basically just the paleo diet.

Really enjoyed the Real Meal Revolution
Really enjoyed the Real Meal Revolution, however, this book didnt really bring anything new; repeated a lot of the information in summary form from the Tim Noakes book, and a poor attempt at some hacks at the end.
