I was surprised by how good these honey Lemmon butterfly pea tea mix actually tasted; you really get the honey and lemon flavor very pronounced. The color may seem appealing to some, but it wasn’t my favorite as I don’t usually enjoy darker murky colored beverages, yet the color goes well with the theme. One thing I was t a big fan of was the residual mix that accumulates at the bottom that has be mixed back in when mixing with cold water.A definite plus was also the preparation is as good for cold or hot water, making it for a very refreshing ice cold tea, as well as very relaxing hot cup of tea.The price for a 5 pack is reasonable considering what you get, but what really surprised me is the amount of powder needed to make just 1 cup of tea. It would seem like the amount of powder per bag would yield much larger quantities of tea. On one hand it makes me think it is a good thing because it is less concentrated and likely more natural, but on the other, makes me think what all is in this powder. The nutritional facts are definitely lacking, but it does say 68% sugar on the box which is a big no no for me.Overall, this honey lemon butterfly pea tea mix is okay. The taste is fantastic, but looks like you are mostly consuming sugar, so not the healthiest option in my mind. If you are looking for a very sweet, delicious tasting instant tea mix and don’t mind the high sugar contents, then this might be for you.

The media could not be loaded. Looking for butterfly pea herbal tea, I stumbled upon this. The flower is known for its inflammatory and antioxidant properties but seemingly difficult to find. So instead this drink mix was worth a shot. Studying the ingredients, I realize it’s mostly sugar so not sure how much of the health benefits we’re actually getting, especially since it’s only 5% butterfly pea flower. The rest is 68% sugar, 17% lemon powder, and 10% honey powder.So I ordered this to try, but mostly for my kids since it’s more of a lemonade-type drink (in my opinion). With all that said the kiddos found it quite tasty. I prepared it by mixing with boiling water then cooling and served with ice. Only problem is there’s only a handful of packets in the box so it goes pretty quickly. Everyone I the family got a glass and the sugar party was over.

Color and taste

Bought this not for flavor, but health benefits. I should have read more. It is 65% sugar. Stevia would have been better. This is basically a slightly healthier koolaid.
