Good quality and handy size.

This rafter square & combination square have a nice fit & finish to them as they are made from a good quality aluminum alloy, and have easy to read scales. I am sure there are nicer, more accurate (and more expensive) sets available for pros who would use these tools much more extensively, but this rafter square & combination square are more than sufficient for my DIY needs. For occasional use by a do-it-yourselfer, this square & combination square is a decent value.

Well first off when I first open the package to inspect I noticed right a 4inch mark that there was damage…like it’s been used or dropped because of a slight gash. Second the screw but immediately stripped so there no way to fully tighten the guide. Will be returning Saturday as I have work the rest of the week.

Pros:Mostly well builtGood for the priceCons:The magnetic ruler comes off too easily — would be better with two magnets.The ruler is annoying to fit back to the square after use.The plastic piece holding the level bubble and ruler is a little loose and will likely get looser over time.Would be better if the entire assembly was metal.The numbers may wear off over time as they are painted on instead of engraved in the steel.Overall, good for the price but won’t last forever if used often.
