DO NOT USE A SHARP KNIFE TO OPEN THE BOXES! They come packaged tightly in each box so if you slice open the box you will ruin the cushions and covers. The sponge immediately expands to 3 1/2" as shown in my photo and is inside a waterproof cover. The description say 3" but I was looking for a thicker cushion so that was a plus for me. The navy blue cushion cover is thick and looks durable. The cushion fits inside snuggly once it's zipped in. The ties are a bit long so I wrapped it around the chair back three times before clipping it as opposed to pulling it the desired length and then it just hangs. We use our patio chairs year round so I am hoping the cushion are durable and maintain their firmness. (The back patterned cushion was purchased from a different retailer but matched the navy blue very well.)

I live in Fla, strong sun, lots of rain, mildew. Every year I have to replace my outdoor cushions. Nothing holds up. These are made of such a sturdy material, foam is thick and is enclosed in it's own zippered case. The outside case is literally perfectly sewn. Heavy duty zipper and the back ties are with the kind of clasp that is on dog collars. Won't rust. The fact that it can be thrown in the washer is icing on the cake! Please make some in patterned fabrics!

I bought these coushions because the ones my patio set came with where an off white color and really cheap. Best purchase I could have made! The fabric is thick not cheap feeling, the cushion is lined with a waterproof sleeve as you can see in the picture, the cushions themselves are higher which I loved. The main grey sleeve even has Well Made straps if you need them! I definitely recommend this item!

After searching dozens of choices we chose these quality 3 inch foam cushions rather than 5 inch fiber fill. We wanted the extra height to booster the chairs at our table. We are so glad we chose these cushions! They are as described: Firm, comfortable, waterproof, and of high quality. Because they are so well made, we will be taking them to the beach this winter as they fit our beach chairs. Thanks for making a quality product reasonably priced.
